Ahh yes i have noticed the Fractions the Raiders have more of ranks now which is quite cool as there not so easy anymore :D

Ahh i see ill most likely find them more into game then! But i did notice the ammo changing :P I quite like that change :D cause now i can use diffrent weapons without loosing ammo for another certaint weapon!

But another thing i dunno if its to do with mods but if i go FPS mode when i pull out my gun it seems to dissapear and then i can no longer look left or right! right now im just checking if its mod releated but it means i have to use 3rd Person which i dont mind!

I had that I think. you can still move and shoot in 3rd person right? think i just went inside somewhere and it fixed its self. I have since re-installed the game and done the mods a bit better this time and had much better performance although the game still crashes sometimes. Just have to remember to quick save :)
 
Use CASM! It is brilliant. You can set it to save frequently and it apparantly makes a more stable game as well. Someone linked to it on page 1.

Also, there are many fixes if you keep having crashes.

Though if you are getting crashes in a specific place or every time you do something specific then it is certainly a mod conflict.

And if you are using ****, check if you need compatability patches for other mods


Also be aware that the more mods you use, the more likely you are to get crashes. I have put up with a fair few crashes over the time i have played, but i believe that it is worth it.

Oh and i tried that Error fixes mod i posted about 20 posts ago and it hasn't caused any problem and i haven't had any CTD's since installing so it all seems good

Yes, you need a compatability patch for **** and MMM. Without one you will definitely get ctd's.

Also you need the hotfixes for **** which are on the **** download page on the Nexus

You can only get it from the FOOKUNITY website amd it is the signature of the member BAN. Do not download the compatability patch from the Nexus as it is out of date.

Otherwise the load order is ok, except i don't know what Overhead 3p camera is, but i imagine for it to work at all you would need to load it after ****. Is it working?

I would probably also put DUI and Underground hideout as your first esp's though it doesn't really matter.

Whatever your order though you want ****>MMM>Weather as your last mods out of those

I will check it out thanks. I have no idea what the 3p camera is to be honest, must have been from a mod I couldn't get to work and missed it out when deleting them.

Glad you are finding modding this game good fun samueltastic :), i got about a 120+ mods showing now when i use boss :D. Was not till level 18 that i found out that my Jesse companion which is a mod can repair items to 100% and you can just pop into her backpack to get money back, so all my kit is in good condition now :p

Easiest way i found to install the mods correctly is to use Fallout mod to install from the zip using the package manager/fomod install then point it to the zip. I then use Boss to get the install order done (not the fallout mod manager one, get this one i link to)

After that i use Fallout 3 edit do its thing then make a merged patch. Running the programs as admin helps allows all the files to be sorted and adjusted etc
 
I prefer Kelsey to Jessi a bit. I occasionally use them but not all the time.

Sydney is the best companion by a mile. She is off doing her quest in my game atm though, so i am using Lucy West and Charon
 
I didnt have much luck with DC combo interiors, not sure if it was the mod or just zoning in general, i still crash occasionaly when entering buildings or subways in DC and thats without DC interiors installed :(. i think its just a Fallout 3 thing we have to deal with

Don't think slower degradation is working though.

Can't install weather mod, just get random freezing, tried loads of different orders.
 
I picked up the game retail [GOTY Edition], installed it, patched it and added FOOK2 1.0. The game always crashes a short while whenever I encounter raiders. Any ideas? I really want to get back into FO3.

For a start, i believe that ****" 1.2 is the latest version, so you might have an outdated one. If you have to update, you must delete ALL old folders first otherwise it will not work.

Are you sure you have all of the file you need?

Go to file and download all of them.

Lastly, make sure you have them in the right load order.


If you are only using ****, it should be quite easu to get it working, and you shouldn't get any ctd's

Nice one.

If slower degredation doesn't work it might be conflicitng with WMK?
Maybe try loading it last?

In regards to the weather mods, are you trying Enhanced weather and Dynamic weather?
I posted a load orer with both on i think and i had them very last in my load order.

I don't have Fellout in my load order though as i have it in ****
 
Here is a recently added mod which is becoming very popular - Unarmed Rearmed

It's been out 2 weeks and already has 41 endorsements!!

I have been playing with it a bit, but unfortunately my unarmed skill is rubbish, so i don't get the best out of it

Unarmed Rearmed - By GymE and LEIT

This mod will replace the 3rd person unarmed power attacks, the neutral melee power attack, and unarmed fighting stance with super cool martial arts style kicks. more to come...
