Fallout 3 mods

Hi Guys

I'm have a problem with fomm,I downloaded it for the first time and when I try to start it up I get the following error message "unable to get write permission for fallouts installation directory" any ideas whats wrong?

Yeah, this is a common problem and is in the troubleshooting on the FOMM page on Nexus, but because i'm in a good mood, i'll copy and paste it for you;)
Then anyone who has the problem can find it here as well.
The single most asked question:
Q. I get the "Unable to get write permissions for fallout's installation directory" error. How do I fix it?
A. This happens when you are running Vista or Windows 7 and have installed Fallout 3 in the Program Files folder. You need to do one of the following:

  • Disable UAC (not recommended).
  • Move Fallout 3 outside of the Program Files folder (e.g., C:\Games\Bethesda\Fallout 3). This may require a reinstall. I know with Oblivion you could just copy the game folder to a new location, run the game, and all would be well. I'm not sure if that works with Fallout 3.
  • In theory you should also be able to run FOMM as administrator. You can try this by right-clicking on the FOMM shortcut and selecting "Run as administrator." Alternatively, right-click on the shortcut, select Properties->Compatibility and check "Run this program as an administrator."

The best thing to do in order to avoid other problems, and the generally recommended solution, is to install Fallout outside of the Program Files folder.

Firstly if you have live iguana in your inventory it will screw up your game, crashes my anchorage, my pitt and my regular game many times, removing them made them run fine.

If that's not the case, then just disable all mods, get past that part, save and re-activate, should fix that issue. If not it's the game being sucky. :)
I found on DLC it's usually 1 mod screwing them up, but it's hard to pinpoint it. On my PITT it was simply the iguanas, very annoying^^

On the car, well TCL is your friend!

Also the quad core fix has stopped my freezing, thanks! Thought I had one last but it was a film unpacking itself in sabnzbd haha.

Hey guys - loving Weapon Mod Kits now I've got some caps, very professional mod!

Question is I want to install Energy Visual Enhanced & RH_IronSights - what order do I need to install them?

This might be worth a download-

Fallout Master Fix

It is a combination of fixes to reduce ctd's, it includes a few of the other fix mods

INTRODUCTION:
This mod goals to fix most of the problems found in Fallout 3. Very extensive work has gone into this mod as it combines hairylegs222's work and the work of ccmechanic2. While this may be based on the combined work of 2 mod authors, the rest of the team is going to be rounding up more bugs, and glitches that need to be fixed and do it. What you will see from this is significantly reduced CTDs(crash to desktop) and much smoother play with increase frame rates

MOD COVERAGE:
This mod's goal is to cover all areas of the game, right now it covers everything that is in the INVISIBLE WALL REMOVER and the ERROR CORRECTIONS - REDUCE CTD mods.

It is a wip, but it looks promising:)

I have been trying this one: Error Corrections - Reduce CTD :)

Probably best not to use both at the same time.

Not had any crashes for a while. Though I did a few other things too:

Compatibility on Fallout 3 shortcut and disabled visual themes and desktop composition.
I turned off auto save on travel.
Also created that merged patch thingy :)
