Fallout 4 - still happening?

As a huge fan of the old Fallout games, Fallout 3 and New Vegas I'm disappointed at the lack of news over any Fallout 4.

I heard it's set near Boston and the Institute may be in it but I'm starting to think this game is going the way of Half Life 3.

Anyone else think it's been put on hold?
 
After putting a lot in place with Skyrim, I doubt they will miss up on releasing another Fallout. Surely they will be ripping themselves off by not.
 
Early last year Erik Todd Dellums, voice behind Three Dog in F3, hinted at a possible project which would be a fourth game but other than that I've not seen anything remotely concrete!
 
A drop in and drop out Co op system would be optimal, where he extra players don't have impact on the story and aren't necessary, like I'm Borderlands or Dead Island.
 
Its not going to happen this year they are still deep in development & not willing to talk about it in public.

I reckon they are modding the skyrim engine so it looks like a proper next gen game engine then they will start to build the Fallout content & get a worthy sequel to Fallout 3.

SP only as well again I hope forced Co-Op would spoil the gameplay its all about a lone survivor not gameplay sharing with others would ruin it IMO
 
They haven't done anything since Skyrim, it's gotta be a given they're working on it, just doing their absolute best to keep it all hush hush.
 
It's supposition, but

A) Fallout 3 was very successful and people are desperate for more
B) Bethesda haven't released anything for nearly 2 years (last Skyrim DLC was Dec 2012) and clearly are working on something
C) WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT! :D
 
Fallout 4 would be amazing to experience with modern day PC hardware. I hope it does come because as with most of us I have some amazing memories of that game. Apart from that town that had a ton of deathclaws in - sod that again.

Todd Howard has said several times they are not ready to talk about it yet but did not deny its not happening ;)

I would not be surprised if its announced in 2015 for a fall 2015 release date!
