Fallout 4 - still happening?

Too true. I mistakenly brought fallout 3 for my windows 7 machine and couldn't get it to work properly .even with all the tweeks out there
Fallout 3 works flawlessly on Win 7 I have put 100s of hours in on it with almost perfect stability!
The CPU tweak is most likely the issue. Although I am using a 12 core CPU never had a problem but some CPU's do.

Never had a single issue with FO3 or NV and I've sunk loads of hours into both.

I hope fallout 4 happens, loved fallout 3. One of my favourite games of all time. Surely if it's happening we should here something by 2015?.

Last time they released a Fallout game I booked a holiday to Las Vegas, I don't think I can afford a new AAA title and a long haul flight!

Such a shame.
Having started with Fallout: Tactics, and played Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, would you recommend going back to Fallout 1 or 2? Or are they only worth it for nostalgia value if you played the originals?

I think they might be running into delays because they have probably realised that they have run 2 Elder Scrolls games and a Fallout game (plus Obsidian's excellent Fallout New Vegas) on roughly the same engine.
So they are now having to start from scratch and building a wholly new engine for Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls 6 etc. It's like Squenix with Final Fantasy XV, they are having to not only develop a new game, but also have maybe had to scrap and reinvent the engine running it.
So I predict Fallout 4 will happen, and having seen the news about E3 I expect it will be out in 2016 with Elder Scrolls 6 coming a year later.
