Fallout: New Vegas

Thanks for that due :)

Loving the game so far, seems to have included some of the ideas of the great fallout 3 mods (weapon mod kits etc)

edit
Loving the look of the new 9mm sub-machine gun :D
Wow, they really have taken on board the weapon mod kit ideas, looks really good

Ok, most certainly pre-orded now, looks like a brilliant successor to Fallout 2

You need to force yourself to like it I found. When I first played it I hated it and didn't touch it for like 6 months. I then restarted and played it for a couple of days and was completely hooked! Can't wait for the next one now.

this game was the biggest shock of 2008 for me, before the game come out i read loads about it and watched a few video reviews and previews about the game and decided it's not my sort of thing but then one day not long after it come out i spotted a copy going cheap on the bay so thought why not give it a go, so i did and loved every minute of it..... well once i got out of the vault that was :), the fact that you can leave the vault and just do what ever you want was great up-to that point i was a FPS & RTS gamer now i find them too restrictive i still play them but much prefer this style of game :)

i've clocked up over 600 hours on F3 on the xbox over 8 different play through's and then i got the pc version for the mods and lets just say i lost another few 100 hours playing with different mods

anyone know how many DLC packs we can expect???

got the PC LE version on pre-order and can't wait, i hope it get's shipped early like most of the other games i've pre-ordered in the past

the one thing i hope most about this game is they fix the engine so it works with multi core CPU's and more than 2 GB of ram with F3 i had to disable multi-core and patch it to use more ram, something that should have been done by bethesda, lets hope the new guys do a better job :D

Aren't they using bethesda's engine so might not be as good at using it as them? Thats my biggest worry tbh...

Doubt they'll announce how many DLC they intend to release. They probably don't even know.

I don't imagine it works like that, they're coders, you read the libs and put them to work - besides which they've had two years to become acquainted with it, I'm sure it'll be fine :p

I can't wait for this - I'm umming and arring about upgrading my GTX260 to a GTX460 for it, but worried it may be a colossal waste of cash.

The important thing is that they seem to have implemented a lot of the best ideas from the modding community. After watching a few videos, I think this has the potential to be better than FO3.

I really hope they've changed the levelling system so you have to choose what to level up rather then just what to get first. It seems to ruin it slightly when you can end up having all of the usefull skills maxed out.

This feels like it's going to be a Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2. I felt Mass Effect was very boring and was expecting the same of Mass Effect 2 which turned out to be amazing and got completed in 3 sittings. Fallout 3 to Fallout: New Vegas might be the same. :p
