Fallout: New Vegas

Played Fallout 3 when it first launched. Never really got more than about 20 hours into it.

If i were to rebuy the GOTY edition with all DLC, how many hours of gameplay am I looking at?

Also, many mods worthy of note?

It's a tough call.... 3 or NV... both are awesome.

I may say 3 as it was the first of the Bethesda style RPGs I had played and lost so many hours wandering around thinking WTF! It was amazing.

I had far more direction in NV, which takes the novelty thing away... although I may prefer the Mohave to the Capital waste land.

The next fallout is likely to be brilliant.

Tbh a lot. Broken Steel allows you to continue past the end and raises the level cap, so you're looking at plenty more hours getting to the end of that!

Fallout 3 with mods is just awesome! So many mods for it now like Omaeka was saying because it's quite old.

Everything wrong with Fallout 3 :

I have no problem running this with all the visuals maxed out on a GTX 295 and a Q6600 @ 3.2GHz, but I want it to look better. Will I still get decent frame rates with mods (NMC's Texture Pack et al) installed with my PC?

I'm really enjoying new Vegas atm only just got round to playing it and already spent a week a few hours a night on it, I think its better than 3 so far too.

There is a lite version of NMC's which apparently doesn't look much different anyway(I use it). Also check out the texture optimizer on the NVNexus. I gained a massive FPS boost when I ran this. The only framerate killer for me was Project Reality, which is a known issue which he said he may get round to sorting one day(and then Skyrim came out!). Enhanced shaders also dropped FPS a little but not too much.
