Fallout: New Vegas

Yeah ones that fix bugs or improve graphics a bit would be good. Not worried about the perks and items as such.

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36901 - Fallout Mod Manager, a requirement for some good mods, strongly recommended for organising mods in general

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/43135 - NMC texture pack, does what it says on the tin

http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45104 - Mission Mojave, a general bug-fix compilation, needs the 4 main content DLCs and Gun Runners Arsenal since it modifies those files

I'd also recommend Darnified UI, improves the interface significantly. The author seems to be updating it as he's taken it off the Nexus right now, there may be older versions hosted elsewhere.

If you want a little more variety, get the Bounty Hunter quests - fully scripted mysterious npc who dishes out bounty kill quests around New Vegas. Some require you to seek out a particular npc or search an area for clues.
Other notable mentions are mostly weapon packs such as AWP and another (name forgotten) that sends assassins from angry factions after you.

So I fiddled and got the mods installed. It picked up the old and new DLCs I just bought, so all going well. I didn't have my save game from before so started from scratch but it did boost me up a bit with the DLCs... and it then crashed 5 minutes into the game :/

Did steam patch the game? The only crash I've had is Nvidia driver related.

Nope, just downloaded and installed fresh from Steam couple of days ago. Also on ATI cards. I think this is why I uninstalled it about a year ago, although I had completed the first few DLCs and don't think the last few were out at that point.

I'll give it another try.

edit: Played for 10 mins and it crashed again :( Ran the validation thing in Steam and it replaced two files...

Should I be running this via Steam still? Or do you have to launch via the manager for it to make the mods work? Thanks

Fallout New Vegas problem..

Hey, recently bought New Vegas Ultimate edition off Steam... I absolutely love this game, played it to death on the 360, but my PC version is weird, I'm gonna try explain the best I can, its a problem that is doing my head in.

The game runs fine, but it runs too fast! The people (including my character) are moving must faster than they should be, everything seems sped up, every action seems much faster than it should be. When people are talking to me, the voice is coming out at a normal speed but they're mouths are moving so fast.

Basically everything movement wise seems wayyyy sped up and its really iratating, I'm hoping someone has some kinda solution to this, or is this just the way the PC version plays?

I'm currently re-installing it on steam to see if that does anything.

Get steam to check game files

Maybe check on Fallout Nexus [Site Forums] and see if anyone else had this problem before

What Monitor have u got BTW

Been modding up ready for yet another playthrough. I have been trying out ENBs today. I think I have settled on Blackout R_Evolution ENB. It needs a bit of tweaking, but it has a good feel to it imo.
