Fallout: New Vegas

Hmm try watching a caravn video on youtube thats what i did, I use the xbox controller (so i can lie on bed, have to rely on vats a bit) so can't comment on PC controls. I also have a issue where cards i buy/find don't get added to the deck, i have to put them in a mojave courier box and retrieve them then they get added.

I had a weird crashing issue around NCR camp charlie (above boulder city). I went their straight from 188 about 8 times in a row, each time it would crash with the game gradually break down (sound dying, scoping dying then crash). Going to Bolder City 1st and doing the quests their solved the issue.

I was tried installing a fix for Veronica to make her HP increase as you level as other companions do, it doesn't work for me.

Just stumbled upon a radiated crater with a massive centaur named "Moe" at the bottom of it along with a load of bodies including 2 brotherhood of steel dudes which had a note on them including a password. Wonder what thats for hmm...

Aint found that, but is Moe the Centaur you hear about from Black Rock Radio? BTW blackrock radio cracks me up!

@ Kainz, think i was a higher level when i got to that place, an incinerator is good to make them visible (being on fire > stealth) and then i killed them with their own rebar club. Can get the incinerator from novac by speaking to the brahmin farmers and waiting around for the bad guy to come kill the brahmins.

I think that's one of the patrols I'm looking for on this BoS quest :p

People having issues with Asus sound cards and the sound loop thing, make sure your drivers are up to date, I had the same problem with 3, simply updated my drivers and wahey not a problem with 3 or NV.

Are the drivers you're using the ones that were released this month? I tried updating before and no joy. I'll see how I get on with these new ones.

I am enjoying NV even more than FO3, perhaps it is this 'hardcore' mode. Better pacing. Something in Oblivion and FO3 that used to let it down slightly for me was the seemingly repetitive fights with enemies, got to feel a little of a grind, especially with Oblivion.

Similar in gameplay, although NV is improved a lot, but where NV is miles above FO3 is design of the world, quests, and dialogues. It is really day and night difference, it very well shows that Beth does not have good writers and designers.

Just thought I'd add that if anyone is still suffering from performance issues (AMD cards), then if you haven't already, try unchecking 'enable adaptive anti-aliasing'. Those with a 5 / 6000 series card will be able to use morphological AA.

Yar seems to help a bit, cheers
