Fallout: New Vegas

Does anyone know where I can find some Crunchy Mutfruit? I want to make some Wasteland Omelette's but I can't find this stuff anywhere, it's ridiculous. Nobody sells it and I only ever find the normal Mutfruit. Only found some that I stole from the Atomic Rangler.
 
Just rushed through towards the final quest. Was a lot of fun. Next run through, think I will turn off hardcore mode. No idea who I am going to help though. Maybe myself next time :)
 
Im about 25 hours into this now, and have probably 15 quests ongoing!

Really enjoying it, i'm level 23 or so and most firefights are relatively straight forward at this stage. I just ran-sacked one of the casinos and killed everyone inside, just for giggles :p

Cracking game.

I spoke to Mr.House for the first time, after this I thought I'd access a terminal, just out of foolish curiosity, an alarm went off and the robotic guards went after me. After I dispatched them I thought I may as well have more of a snoop around, found another terminal and eventually gained access to Mr.House in person. I didn't mean to kill him, think I selected the middle option by mistake lol. Anyway, I am now looking for a Doctor whilst having a gander along the strip. At times the possibilities seem almost endless.

I haven't been much of a gambler on my first play through though I did ok on roulette. I paid 2k to get in to the strip only to find I had still managed to keep my money! Bug probably. :D
 
I'm only level 9 and suffered my first crash to desktop last night trading with a traveling merchant outside the NCR Mojave Outpost, annoying as I'm starting to get back into the game again. Is this a common crash for others?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't FO3 set like 100 years after the bombs fell? Supplies would have no doubt run out completely. If people didn't leave the shelters they'd starve.

You don't have to pay $2k to get in to the strip you just have to prove you have the money in your bank.

There are other ways in though of course....

the vaults were designed to be self sufficient iirc so they make their own food and purify their water and all that.
 
Food as well? Water sure, was the whole premise of the first game.

But I didn't see how the Vaults were big enough to make their own food. They're pretty small. Oh well, if that's canon then so be it :p

unfortunately it occasionaly crashes, randomly (very rarely).
There are few crashes that always happen (like when you go to BoS and have companion with you, they strip your equipment and then game crashes..solution is easy, tell your companion to wait outside) but these are rare.

Once you do the mission with the holotapes (still in the dark) you get another mission called Eyesight to the blind, the reward for that is power armour training. The power armour that is labled 'brotherhood' will disguise you as a member of the BoS, if you find some power armour without the brotherhood name (which is a bit more rare, but can be repaired using the brotherhood version of the armour) then you can wear that without any issues.

the BoS trader has normal power armour after completing "eyesight for the blind"

I've won 25 caps on Blackjack so far.... :)

I got in the 'strip' free, I managed to kill one of the 'bots' guarding the gate without the others noticing (Stealthboys are handy now and again) and nicked his keys.

I have read so much bad press of this game and negative reviews. ITS AMAZING. I don't quite know what makes it better than FO3 but i cant get enough of it. Pretty sure i will play this through at least twice.

Just wanted to share :)
