Fallout: New Vegas

The vendors in my game don't seem to be restocking. I've checked the ones I know a number of times now but they are all low on caps and ammo. I really need to off load some crap.

Is this a bug? I'm pretty sure that a lot of ingame days have passed since I bought the items from them..

How long have you left them? In can sometimes take a few days for them to restock.

Just offload your crap somewhere, its what I do, or if you have ED-E fill it up.

Have you tried checking the gun runners? I know that replenishes every 3 days.

Ah. I jumped the gun a bit. Yes, they have re-stocked, I guess I was a few hours away from it. It's funny how you loose track of in-game time.

That looks... absolutely frigging ridiculous.

It's not dissimilar from the Enclave armour from the previous games? Your continuing criticism, despite not owning the game, is boring.

I'm sick of the combat, bit bored of going back wards while loads of enemy NPC's chase me and I unload guns worth after guns worth of ammo on them

Spoils the game

I'm guessing you've made decisions in-game that has resulted in factions turning against you, or are picking fights with large groups of people - what do you expect to happen?

Just completed this, while I like the game I think fallout 3 was better, this might change on if/when I replay it ;)

The final battle when playing the NCR isn’t as epic as the final charge in fallout 3, like I said I liked the game and it seems to be deeper than FO3 it just not as an original experience as 3 and it does hurt it a bit :(

Anyone else notice that karma has absolutely no impact on this game? It is almost like they couldnt be bothered to implement it into quests/dialogue, but couldnt be bothered to remove it either.

You're right...I don't remember seeing any karma based speech-checks. On my first playthrough the only thing I noticed was when (Spoilers) Caesar's envoy contacted me.... he said something along the lines of being impressed with my actions.

It seems stealing stuff has a much bigger effect on karma, than in fallout 3. You used to be able to steal as much stuff as you like, and you'd still end up with positive karma if you helped everyone during the quests. On my first playthough on new vegas I was playing as a helpful kleptomaniac...... no random murdering whatsoever....... and I still ended up being ranked as "very evil" at the end.

Thats different though, isn't it? Thats reputation with the Legion, rather than your overall Karma.

So I'm told, overall Karma from general good/bad deeds only has an impact on the game ending...

Im sure there are spoilers applenty so don't read on unless you've completed the game :)

SPOILER:
is it possible to complete the game without wiping out the brotherhood of steel? I have played all the fallout games, always liked them and have joined them in FO:NV. I have been alternating between NCR missions and mission for Mr House and both of them want me to kill the BoS! Is there any way around this? I would prefer not to massacre my buddies!

Out of interest, did you select hardcore mode?

No its on normal

I'm at the Legion Fort, thats just the way the game developed for me, they are the only people that dislike me.

Anyway whats that got to do with the actual combat mechanics, it just seems stupid to me that you would just run backwards with a group of people chasing you whilst you unload everything you have into the group and die repeatedly, not to mention how badly the FPS drops when this happens.

Now i'm stuck and cant progress

I've noiticed that too,no one seems to have any stimpaks

do you have assassins after you? i've not had it myself but from what i've read it's possible to annoy a faction enough early doors to have them send their assassins after you (lvl 7 iirc), when you rescue the 2 hostages from the legion. people have had to start again after getting repeatedly owned by those guys.

what about vats? can you cripple them and slow them down? give you chance to get further away? can you lead them into opposing mobs or other dangerous creatures? i agree with the fps drop around NPCs though, mega sucks.

I've got loads of people after me as I've pretty much slaughtered everyone I've come in to contact with.

The assassins are great as they carry quality weapons/armour to steal after you destroy them. :)

No i've not noticed any assassins but i'm sure there will be when i've finished with the Fort!

Tried VATs... at the point I am at now my last save is me running backwards with a hoard of legion folk chasing me with machine guns and ballistic gloves whilst my AP is so low I cant use VATs and the only ammo I have after killing all the other Legion folk is incinerator ammo which doesnt seem to do anything to them even though it sets them on fire  Also theres no other creatures or NPC's about in the Fort so i'm pretty screwed :(

So who have people made friends with?

I am slaughtering the Legion but like the NCR, Powder gangers hate me also :).

SPOILER

I took Boone to run around with me :)) he hates the legion and pops everybody from the legion he sees :) loves it. He has some nice sniper skills

/SPOILER

what guns do people like? I love the cowboy repeater, seem to be a lot about always got mine repaired. Anybody use any melee weapons? I might start doing that, got a lot of LEgions after me with knives
