Fallout: New Vegas

I know how to play caravan and have accumulated a mad amount of extra cards, my question is how do i easily sort the desk so i know what cards i am playing with?

There is some add/remove basis, but given how few cards seem to be turned over in my favvour i usually click the button for randomise a few times and then play.

What problems are you having with it?

Fallout NV won't let me complete 'Heartache by the Number', it says I have to 'Deal with the obstacle of Jackson' and 'Clear the roads'.

Reading about this known bug, I think I need to get two bits of evidence - one from the Van Graffs and one from Alice McLafferty - and show these to Jackson, but I need a lockpick of 75 to steal it from the Van Graffs, not sure about Alice.

You need a minimum of 30 card in a deck. I play with 8 sevens, 8 nines, 8 tens and 6 jacks.

Start the game if u have more than 3 of any of the number cards to start just discard them as 3 is the max u need.

If this is not what u mean there are 2 things i could guess. 1) when u start a game u get to edit the deck the top line is the deck your playing with if its face up its in your deck you can swithc the cards around 2) I had a bug where the cards were not automatically added to the deck, check your inventory, if they are there go to one of the mojave express post box things, put them all in there and then take them out this then puts it into your collection of cards.

Finished this in around 30 hours, really enjoyed it actually.

Went with the NCR first run through, then re-loaded an old save and finished with Yes Man.

Now doing a run through with the LEgion, and pretty much killing everyone I come across :)

Just fixed my glitch - I killed the nearby Scorpions and then I was able to pass a speech check (after putting all my level up points into speech!) with Cass and she was then able to follow me - maybe it wasn't all that glitched after all.

The only trouble is, the Van Graffs want her dead, so as soon as I see them, with her as my Companion, they're going to kill her...

Going to be a silly question I'm sure but I'm looking for the reppconn facility basement entrance... I can find the entrance outside the facility but it tells me I need a key. Is there an easy to find entrance that I'm just missing? (I've spoken to Jason)

Also, can I leave companions behind and then go and pick them up a bit later on? Does having certain companions make it unnecessary to level up certain skills? For instance is there a decent lockpicker?

Cheers

ahh
I wondered why the cards I was buying werent showing up in my deck

So, who wants a real pip-boy?

I want one!

Hi DanH84, I haven't found all of the companions yet (haven't unlocked achievement for it anyway) out of the ones I have found no one can pick locks or hack terminals or anything like that.

One of them can repair things for you, one of them acts like a portable reloading / workbench. The others I have found seem to be more combat orientated.

As for the reppconn basement, when you come back down the stairwell from where Jason is, there are two exits from the room, look for the one with a dead nightkin near the door. The basement is just through that door, turn left, down some stairs.

Hope that info is useful :)

You can tell you're companions to wait though I don't know how long they will stay put, also I personally wouldn't do it for long as they may dissapear, you can however simply tell them to bugger off and leave you alone, at which point they will go back to their default location, i.e Cass goes to the Mojave Outpost, Boone to Novac etc, you can then just go and pick them up when you want them again.

As Dutch said, unfortunatly no companion assists with general skills like that, they offer perks but can't actually help with lockpicking/hacking.

Interesting, I am 60 hours in and still haven't been to the strip.

This game is crazy huge.

I know! :)
Sometimes it actually feels like it won't end, which overall is a good thing. The replayability value is insane, just when I think I have found most of the areas to explore several more appear! :)

You got the locksmith book to temporarily raise your lockpick at the Van Grafs? (you'll also need a stealthboy to lockpick the door)

Yeah if you go off the beaten track the game is massive!
I am now 75 hours in and not been to the strip (Am close as I'm at freeside). I have about 12 questlines on the go too. I have the perk now that shows all game locations, so I am getting a bit lazier heading striaght for the places i need and not exploring soo much.

I think I am around the 40 hour mark, I have been to The Strip but now am back to exploring again. I get waylaid with so many side quests that I forget what my main task was, lol.
