Far Cry 4 due this November

I get major stutters in this game on my 290x, if you think Ubisoft didnt know about this you're fooling yourself.
This must by the amount of posts i see affect over 50% of people that bought it, they would have tested on multiple hardware configurations.
And the patch that's supposed to be released this week the patch notes don't even mention a stuttering issue! i hope there is a fix in there other wise people should be able to get a refund.

I did say I get occasional stuttering, yes it's annoying but it's not frequent enough to ruin the game. The stuttering mainly happens when driving, I don't get any stuttering when on foot.

Hopefully future updates will improve it more.

I am envious then. How do you downscale FC4? Do you manually set your res in the XML file or using NVCP?

Well my game on a 7950 finally started stuttering after around 8 hours play time. I have not had a single issue before this. I exited the game and restarted it and the stuttering was gone. Some kind of memory management issue?

I'm on the hunt or be hunted mission. I just cleared the Alpha camp and was working on the Beta camp when I had to save and quit. After reloading, I'm back at the mission start again!

I know it's been mentioned before, but the save facility in this game is ridiculous.

Just make sure when you finished Act 2, you complete the first mission of Act 3. I quit after finishing Act 2 and had to go back and re-do the last mission of Act 2 again.

This game on Co-op is without a doubt the most fun I have had in a game in a very long time. Partners can grapple to the bottom of the mini chopper then bail off and wing suit into a base. Or Fire base cars when you both have grenade launchers (Count as a side arm so can be fired from moving cars).

Having mounted elephant battles is just hilarious or throwing bait at each other when you aren't paying attention. Crazy fun

Is the co-op campaign different to the single player?

Just wondering what I should do first, SP or Co-op..

I was getting stuttering on a single 780 until I did the DisableLoadingMip0 fix and disabled AA, now it runs like a dream.

I'm using manual resolutions set in the NvCP, not using DSR as I've read that DSR can give a lower fps in comparison and it uses some type of Gaussian blur so I settled for good old manual downsampling. Google DSR vs downsampling and you will find comparisons.

I've used the various XML tweaks that have been floating around and I've set powermanagement in NvCP to max performance so the the GPU is always running at max and dosent throttle back and forth depending on load, not sure if this makes any difference but it has been suggested.

You must be getting good performance on SLI 980's??? If not, maybe there is something else in your system affecting the game performance?

How about they work on:

1. Stuttering and low fps
2. Game-breaking bugs
3. Abnormal resolution and aspect ratio support
4. SLI & Crossfire support
5. Minor bugs

What a surprise!? Surely people should have learnt by now that ubisoft don't fix their games, watch dogs and far cry 3 are still buggy POS's.....

Yeah just downloade 1.4 patch and it said nothing in patch notes about stuttering but still had hope but no still stutters.
