Far Cry 4 due this November

What a surprise!? Surely people should have learnt by now that ubisoft don't fix their games, watch dogs and far cry 3 are still buggy POS's.....

Says the BF4 addict :D

Its a sign of the times. First day patches becoming the norm and even year plus after launch games still not fully stable.

This one is certainly not the worst I have played.

:p

TBF though, bf 4 has been working fine for quite a while now especially since the CTE patch at least for myself... I have never had "serious" issues with it except when it first came out.

I just can't stand stuttering in games, it is the one thing which I will not put up with :(

And yup, unfortunately this is very common with games nowadays and is the reason why no one should preorder/buy anything until trusted reviews etc. are up, until that happens, we are going to be stuck with broken games on release day.

I think they just patched the patch, :pI loaded the game earlier & it downloaded the new patch & I played for a while but then went back to doing something else, just loaded the game again & it downloaded another patch which somehow seems better

Patch Changelogs:

Fixed the "black screen" issue PC players were experiencing when certain USB peripherals were plugged in.

Fixed the "grey screen" issue some PC players were may have encountered after the Outpost Master Mission.

No stutter fix :(

You urge people who liked Farcry 3 not to buy FC4 because it's the same? it's a sequel & hence bears the same main title, so I urge you to look up the definition of sequel :a literary work, movie, game etc., that is complete in itself but continues the narrative of a preceding work.
There is so much more to FC4, the biggest advance in the entire series is that you can attack anything from the air & shoot single handed weapons inc a grenade launcher whilst driving a vehicle

That's not what I said, is it?

I loved FC3 but if you've played it recently like I have, you may feel a little bit cheated at £40 considering its essentially the same game with a new map and story. Of course this is done a lot with the likes of the COD series, but if you're expecting the kind of leap we saw with each of the previous FarCry games you might be disappointed. I'm quite aware of what sequel means - kindly shove your patronising comments up your arse :)

As it happens the more I play it the more I come to enjoy it. The mortars are most impressive. I personally don't like the little helicopter but I like that it exists if only for a faster way to get around. Looking forward to trying the free roam CO-OP.

Well that was weird, fired up the game a couple of hours ago and it updated to V1.4.0. Stopped for dinner and just launched it again now, and a small patch downloaded and it's now back to 1.3.0.

Custom Gamerprofile.xml gave me fatal errors so would not recommend.

Just gonna have to wait for more patches and hope Ubisoft sort the game out themselves.

Probably playable by the new year and/or patch 1.6

All of a sudden, game black screens when I start. I did fiddle with monitor settings with my rift after playing a game, that wouldn't have caused it right? It's just black, no sound etc in a windowed state.

Edit: My G27 >.>
