Far Cry 4 due this November

I enjoyed the gameplay but the story\choices were not great. Came to the FIN point at about 50% of the game completed and not touched it since.

Do you guys think the DLC season pass will be worth a purchase? Lots of campaign style missions or just variants of the copy paste missions I've still got to do?

Well we now know that the 1.7 patch & another shortly after were 100% content & no fixes for anything. Complaints on Ubi forums about Escape from Durgesh Prison having a timer that's set too fast & you can't alter it so you die endlessly

Was really put off by the price of the season pass on Uplay and Steam but found it on ebay for £7.48 so fingers crossed it's at least worth that amount :)

10p cheaper from China but I decided to follow your example :-)

Andi.

Yeah I thought I'd go with the UK, as he put 5min delivery and turns out it appeared as soon as I pressed buy! :D

Might actually use ebay a bit more often as I've waited a whole weekend waiting for keys from some of the cdkey sites and other faff I'd rather not go through :)

My key was the 1st email I received after pressing buy. Always had pretty good deals on the bay.

I built a new PC last weekend (i7 4790K, 16GB RAM, GTX970) and FC4 now runs smooth and doesn't crash anymore. I've been able to do loads of campaign missions and have broken into the north.

Just earned the Buzzsaw weapon as well. Not quiet but makes up for that with its immense power. :D

Do not like the Durgish Prison Escape DLC as I hate timed games for a start, and with permadeath I have died twice for no reason. Finish one outpost and was on my way to another in the buzzer, landed, sneaking up to the outpost then dead. Which means I need to begin again or rather not.

Not a big deal as the season pass only cost me 6 quid so hopefully the later DLC will be worth the outlay.

Without having to read through the whole thread is there a way to stop the stuttering with sli?

It makes it hard to enjoy.

Some people seem to have got it running o.k, do you have GTX970's ? if so then read this long thread on Guru 3D where it's discovered that 970's can't use more than 3.5Gb of Vram without taking a huge performance dive causing stuttering in certain games.

Thanks for that will have a look and yeah 970's.

digging this up..

On a single 970 very high is buttery smooth on 60fps vsync (adaptive sync but fraps seems to suggest it's solid).
Ultra results in a significant fps drop.

Now I have it with Very High with and trying to work out what the offending settings are on ultra. Guess it could be the textures if the above is true

I tried this to see if I hit 3.5GB limit but with Far Cry could only get up to 3.12GB of VRAM used with 2560x1440, everything Ultra/On. FPS was 45-60. I'll lower the settings though to get back to solid 60.

Apparently:

Ubisoft removing Far Cry 4 without notice from uPlay accounts who bought it from 3rd party sellers

Ouch thats appalling if true!!

I have been buying my games from CDkeys recently when they drop to around £20. Would they do the same if bought form Amazon etc?

Scum bags truly. They price their games at silly prices and then when the consumer votes using their wallet, they throw the toys out the pram and delete your purchase!

I actually think that Ubisoft are not to blame here. There must be something dodgy about this persons key!
