I'm sure it was you complaining all leave voters are thought of the same way and here you are doing it with remain voters again.

I don't want any doom and gloom at all (in my mind that's my reason for voting remain!) but it's here and all things considered is expected to only get worse. That's the problem, there's no light at the end of the tunnel.

I've stated a few times now that I would love to be proven wrong.

Not complaining one iota.

I stated my view was I value democracy hence voting out. Other people voting immigration that's entirely their own business.

I could ask if you enjoyed the march the other day? But I would go out on a limb and say you respect the will of the democratic vote.

I don't want doom and gloom either but when I see constant figures this figures that forecast etc... Well the experts are going to fail (again) and next time people will be putting the same experts on a pedestal as the empirical beacon of truth...

The reason its a leap into the dark is that there's no detail at all, or even a rough guide, as to what comes next.

As an agnostic I feel very much like the leave voters are in a faith based position. Believing in something without any evidence that it's true. It's frustrating to me.

There is a guide... The IFS, Libyan School of Euconomics and the IMF say so...

Remainers I could argue are similar... Expecting something to change and it really wont. I heard part of the deal he got was a waiver of certain vetos. The crowning peace was a cap on benefits extended out of the country for up to 4yrs in certain circumstances

Lol - The experts have been shown to be correct. Where is this beacon of truth ? The Leave campaign promises ? Farage's speeches ? Inside your own head ?

No you wouldn't, that ~65 million includes children, how many million is that?

Plus there are others in the 65 million who are not allowed to vote, i think that the actual figure was around 45 million who were eligible to vote.

So people need to stop bringing the 65 million into this, because it has no bearing on the result at all, it's just another troll argument.

Hey it wasn't me that said majority of the population. If you meant just adults you should have said so :p

The problem with a lot of remain voters, is they see the leave vote as a jump into the dark rather than a step into the light.

it is their own negativity which will cause future problems, if we want to do well they need to stop the gloom and pull themselves up by their bootstraps and forge ahead. Casting doubt and gloom after the first hurdle will only mean losing the race in the end.

I have accepted the leave vote and think we'll be OK in the long term, but some of the the stuff you people come out with is so utterly ridiculous it makes me more angry than the vote ever could.

What you're essentially saying is that, if we fail in the long term, it will be because of the negativity of people who wanted to remain. No. The onus is on the leave side to give people something that's worth being happy for. Now is your chance to prove your vision of the country is the right one. If it is, then we'll be happy, not the other way around.

Don't make excuses. Your side won and the ball is now firmly in your court. If Brexit fails to unite the country, then it will be a failure all together. If Brexit fails to inspire people and bring about positivity, then it will be a failure in itself.

We're one week in and you're already making excuses. Scary stuff.

That leaver voters are beneath us? If you say so ;):p

"they" (remainers) see them (leavers) as beneath. I see leavers as right for their own justifiable reasons

Self absorbed and self imposed dominance. Funny how the footage of these remainers I keep seeing on YT are exactly what the "banned word" is.

Well just like you complain about those people on to don't represent the majority of the remain voters in the same way the racists posting noticed on schools telling immigrants to leave doesn't represent all of the leave voters.

Good and bad and extremes on both sides.

But it would help people's perceptions if leave voters could actually say what they voted for rather than just saying " we won, out is out, deal with it, your negativity will make it all fail"

I recognise the vote was for out and I want to deal with where we go from here but I'm getting nothing from you guys

Errr... We were told:

House prices would sky rocket
ISIS would invade
Putin and Russia would be on their way here
The US said we would be back of the line
The EU funded "experts" (who have rarely been right about finances" said we would immediately go into a prolonged recession marred by slow growth
Other EU countries said the door would be firmly shut to any trade deals
Godzilla would immediately destroy London
Every company worth more than £452.45 would immediately vacate the nation and never return
We were told overnight there would be tens of thousands of people out of work
World War 3 would be starting in Europe
Every family would be hit with £4,300 a year extra in charges

We have taken a minor bit on the ER... Big deal... Markets fluctuate. Its consumers that drive the demand.

Yes Farage... The racist, bigoted scumbag who is totally and utterly useless... The very same one who won against all the nay-Sayers and regressives who made overwhelmingly the most noise. Farage beat you. That utterly useless moron who "never bothers turning up" actually did the biggest political upset in modern politics

To respond with the conclusion of the rebuttals we would have now: Move on

I 100% agree... Where is the media in reporting these confrontations? Often aggressive or intimidating and abusive? Ohhh yes... Doesn't fit their narrative to demonize all leave voters as racist brain dead buttwipes. But not complaining.

I've already said it. Most people voted out because of one of two things (word most) 1) immigration and 2) ostensibly the £10bn-£20bn we send to the EU yearly (dependant on the figures and reasoning) behind it. I personally voted primarily because of democracy and secondly because I saw the totalitarian dictatorship power of the EU with Greece. Anyone who thinks that situation was right in any way shape or form imo should be reflecting that if it was 80yrs ago they would be on a certain side in a world war.

Ignoring it is fine of course but agreeing with it is shameful.

You want to know where we go?

Step 1) Article 50 invoked
Step 1a) Claim our seat at the WTO
Step 2) Begin to negotiate with the EU
Step 3) Begin talks with China, India, the US, Brazil and South Africa
Step 4) Open talks with Russia as a responsible and grown up nation and realize these sanctions are illegal under WTO law (of which Russia is a member)
Step 5) Invest finances in our young people for University

Of course people in other places need support but I feel this will take care of itself with the exception of Spain who seem to be mighty irritated by the British despite being blind to the fact they are in their predicament precisely because of the EU. Still, revolution comes when you realize who is your "enemy"

Well put.

Hilarious. Only one of those is true in the slightest. Interesting to see the paranoia implied in the Leave campiagn being reflected in public discourse.

Edit - Ah a Putin apologist as well.
Edit2: and Godwin ! a twofer !

Some of the youtube footage beggars belief, prime example below, placard waving remain voter actually tells leave voter to take her placard down, what a giant hypocritcal twit. I'm so pleased people like this lost the referendum.

I'm certain he mentioned Godzilla too, it was hard to remember between the different forms of Apocalypse we were promised

Well apparently none of this fear mongering was true as the UK should be in a state of social breakdown by now and WW3 should have already started.

farage really makes the leave group look bad. looked how he dissed the entire eu parliament just to rub his ego. If he were the bigger guy he would have swallowed it and find an amicable solution to work together. after all we are already leaving the eu no need to take another swipe at them

He strikes me as someone with small man syndrome who must prove himself as right at every opportunity.

exactly! I would have had more respect for him if he actually put the country's interest first over his "i told you so" gratification in his speech to them.
