hmmm some are saying it's only 4hrs long others 10, who to believe..

Hmmm IGN gave this 8/10 and that was the ps3 version so it might be quite good at least for fans of the genre/series.

They said it's about 7-8 hours sp campaign but seemed happy with the amount of mp modes within the game aswell.

Probably will get it as i liked the other two plus John Carpenter helped make it.

some of us have played it already ( on our FEAR forum) and it's pretty good, it's definitely better than the 2nd game and it's way superior to BRINK or DUKE (according to them)

but i cant get it here in the U.K till friday, which is totally bloody frustrating :cool:

Not been following this game at all really since the 2nd was rubbish. Am i right in thinking the campaign is co-op? could be fun with my mate

It's funny, I didn't think the second was a strong title though I still enjoyed it, some parts more than others, yet I seem to go back to it and am enjoying it rather a lot. Good sound, not bad atmosphere and still pretty good gun fights. Maybe it's partly due to me playing it on 'hard' difficulty.

Wondering when I'll actually get my copy as I've had the worst luck with preorders recently :S Preordered this from bee.com but I'm not sure how long they take to dispatch preorder items or how long their postage takes -.-

31 parts, at smallest 10minutes, and i've looked at them all briefly so i don't spoil it for myself and all looks like single player.

30x10=300
300/60=5

Looks more like minimum 5 hours

Watch the play through, they game is not worth your cash, generic FPS done badly.

I'd rather not spoil the game even if i wait to pick it up cheap, still doesn't make it merely 4hours.

My thoughts on this also and watching a playthrough is abit daft as it takes away any enjoyment you'd have of the actual game if you played it anyway :S

Got this on preorder and I'm looking forward to it. The multiplayer is meant to be seriously good so even if the singleplayer is short, it still has the coop option + multiplayer modes to keep the game entertaining.

Bah as expected a pure console shooter!!!

* no save or load
* checkpoints
* no lean
* low res textures
* regenerating health

Cant speak regarding the second game but i can say that this is nowhere near as good as the 1st game. Bored of it already.

£27 on steam? so far i would say it only just makes it into the bargain bin.

Doesn't look like I'll bother with Fear 3, first one was good but the X-packs were rubbish, second game wasn't anything special and this doesn't look any better, and considering I would be playing Fear for the single player the shortness of Fear 3 is a sham.

First fear is 10x better than fear 3, in GFX and gameplay and it was relaesed in 2005! Pffff consoles.
