US: Fear the Walking Dead

I think it is the utilisation of the characters as much as anything - some of it is just really wrong and unconvincing which just leaves you going meh?

They could have got a good 2-3 seasons worth out of Strand without showing too much of the hand with his ulterior motives, ambiguity, etc. Nick's ability to embrace the new reality is a kind of nice twist but could have been done so much better and I was hoping to see a bit more of a gender/stereotype reversal with Madison and Travis that could have kept things interesting again for a good 2-3 seasons.

It's crap. Doesn't help that The Walking Dead has characters you can really get behind. I feel like I'm watching Home and Away with zombies at times. Done with it.

I keep watching it, whilst allowing myself to get slightly distracted, in the hope it gets better. Just because there's not much I want to watch at the moment. It's not great!

None of the characters are that interesting, stupid decision after stupid decision.

I'll persist in the hope it takes a giant leap forward in quality but it's not looking promising so far.

I hate the trope of "Let's kill this zombie and cover ourselves in the guts/blood so we can walk among them freely" ********.

YAWN.

Agree characters are very lacking or just not special, twd nailed it with most characters and built the show around them.

Agree also on no threat, since they all have figured a work around by covering themselves in zombie blood this cuts off any drama or purpose to the show surely, but I think that is part of their plan maybe the zombies will adapt or evolve and eat them this is probably what would keep the show alive at this point, could explain why in twd they do not do this ?

^^ Can't believe I had high hopes for this show initially and its turned into some of the most garbage I've watched on TV.

Bet Alycia was on the phone to the producers of The 100 begging them to take her back lol.

Lol probably. This could have been so much more but I will still watch it :D

Never made it more than half way through season two so will wait to see what opinions are and skim through the rest of 2 to catch up if people are overwhelmingly positive about 3.

I also gave up mid way last season, it was just so boring. Did it get any better? The last thing I vaguely remember was the woman leading a horde of zombies off a pier.

The last 2-3 episodes got better, essentially your main guy lead, Travis ended up losing it and abandoning his morals....

Which in itself is kind of disappointing - the kind of almost reverse stereo type between him and his wife could have been an interesting mechanic if used properly.
