More objectively, from a purely aesthetic point of view, it is not exactly a certain size, but proportions for me (a 6ft tall girl who is size 6 will look anorexic to me, and likewise, a 5ft2 girl who is size 12 will look chubby - actually, i pull those numbers at random, I am not even sure how big is size 12 - but I think it gets the point across). Someone overweight/obese is someone who has too much fat in their body. Someone who look fat is probably someone who happen to have accumulated fat in area that make them less physically attractive. I differentiate the two. However, the former is very hard to tell. Few would tell you their weight unless they are particularly confident, and even fewer know their body fat % - I know many girls who dislike going to the gym on the basis that it make them heavier. I tell them that it is probably because they are gaining muscle and are losing fat, but it doesn't change their mindset. In their mind, more weight = fat.
Guess what, it goes both ways. If most men prefer woman they don't consider fat (amongst other things), most women prefer men of certain height (amongst other things). Physical attraction is something very basic - since we are more complex creatures, we have developped other values, but most likely are not going to forget our most basic coding so soon.
Now it is something those of us who aren't born supermodel don't like to hear, but it doesn't mean it is not there.
Sure. But I also think it is rather self-righteous and weird to claim that physical attractiveness is irrelevant. It isn't everything, but it is part of a larger equation. Would you rather look at someone physically attractive or someone physically unattractive (based on your own criteria)? There you go.Surely just judging ppl on appearence makes them a bit wierd though?
