General representative to be honest, most of the county abhor the man, and he has been all of them things.

Though it's hardly painting us in a good picture to the world, to start spouting it because he scored against us is pathetic, and to be fair to Suarez he has kept a lid on all but the theatrics this season, and whilst 95% of the league make weekly dives it's a little cruel to slap him purely on that even if he is the queen of the lot.
 
I hope for our next game Hodgson drops everyone but Cahill, sterling and Johnson (the only lads who deserve to play next game) and give everyone else an experience.

It's probably just a cheap way to get attention. Something politicians love.

Obviously it's worked. But who really cares what he thinks. Most politicians are worse than footballers anyhow :p
 
I see Hodgson either experimenting in the next match with a different line-up (maybe to give some WC experience to those who have not yet played) or he will field the same team again with maybe 1 or 2 changes to try and prove a point to the press about himself and the team (which may fail horribly).

Personally, I think we should not necessarily aim to win the next match, but use it as an opportunity to experiment tactics, formations, and gain experience. It would be silly to waste such an opportunity.
 
England played to there ranking, why should we expect better from a team ranked 12th? We have Italy at 6 and Uruguay at 11th whome we got beaten by, we were in a group with 2 teams ranked above us, untill England get rid of the rot and play a younger team who can develop into one that deserves credit not merit for been an £200k a week player the better. Massive change needed,
 
Foreign media slating gerrards performance with a 3/10 and as refusing to give him a score out of 3 lol. According to the media abyway! For me jo Hart no cover himself in glory for the second. Jags for the other.
 
FIFA ranking means nothing, as Costa Rica have shown.

All teams should be trying to move up the rankings. All teams should be trying to over-achieve.

Should England ever be happy to lose to another team because of FIFA rankings? Of course not!

[edit: The only time we should be happy with an England defeat is if we played well and still lost. I'm not obsessed with winning at all. I just want to see England play well and provide entertainment befitting the salaries they all draw.

Not too much to ask is it?]

Of course, but I don't sit and laugh at Rooney (as people were doing Gerrard) each week or when he cocks up and then support him when he plays for England and turn on him when he does **** for them :D

Also people outraged and shocked by Suarez's comments when he gets called everything under the sun each week, booing during his national anthem at the olympics or being mocked for showing emotion. (Never mind his belief of being stitched up as a racist)
