Of course they won the Euro 2 years ago. Russia is the host and they are looking good so far. Is this some kind of really poor attempt at trolling?
By your wisdom the Greece team that won the Euros was a great team. Portugal weren't even close to being the best team when they won the Euros 2 years ago. You also seem to be equating success in these competitions with quality but deciding that England shouldn't still be in the competition because we are rubbish...

This is true. Even Belgium - Brasil is a final before the semi-final which would be the real final of the tournament.

We drew with Brazil less than one year ago. Does that mean we are as good as Brazil? World cup generally always has dire football and you rarely see games won convincingly. Yes portugal were poor in 2016 but they won the final and it is their name that goes down in history. What has changed with us rather than before is being able to put weak teams to bed quite easily. Beating anything in the last sixteen is always going to be hard no matter who you are. If you want fun football watch the Premier League because it is quite literally in a different league.

What makes that result even sweeter, if it was possible, is that Maradonna not only wore a Colombia shirt and was cheering them on but it appears he is salty over them getting beat as well.

Death threats coming in for Colombian penalty missers. I'd actually be quite scared given the previous treatment of players who have made mistakes for Colombia. Maradona can go and do one, no different than you'd expect for a cheating drug addict like him though.
We aren't tricky to play against, Panama scored against us and Colombia could have scored 2 or 3 late on yesterday when they were actually pressing for a goal. It's the same every tournament people get hyped up over a couple of ordinary performances. The only difference this time is we won't have to play a quality team who the majority of the time will beat us until at least the final, assuming we reach it.
Columbias tactics for 80% of the match fit perfectly with that scummy little man. His life since the end of his career has been embarrassing and he is the epitome of someone living off past glories.
