Without reading the whole thread, what good English speaking servers are ppl rolling on please?
Well I'm playing on Cerberus at the minute and there seems to be the majority of people on there communicating in english for now with the occasional Russian or German guild advertisement.
Though it seems like you're going to be limited on choice of what server you can create a new character on until they upgrade their server infrastructure to support more people on a realm. a lot of servers are locked for character creation at the moment.

taking a punt on this, should be arriving tomorrow. Would also like to know what servers the English speakers are congregating on

Been bogged under with work, haven't been on in a few days, looking forward to playing tonight.

Have football training tonight so won't be able to get on untill 10pm onwards... saying that - might be a good thing!

I also have a Homehub3, it seems to be working for me, since forwarding those ports I have had no issues.
Another temporary measure you could try is connecting to your btwifi with fon account (comes standard with all BT broadband accounts), I never had throttling on that, only issue of course is you need to relog into it every 2 hours, once the 2 hours are up you have to be quick to log back in our you will disconnect from the game.

My missus said the same, though she's new to MMO's - But I'd have to agree. After a good solid couple of hours I've started to get used to it now.
I think it just needs filters put on it, which would make it much less cluttered, and only have the relevant things you need on there.
EDIT: I did see some settings in the options menu for character filters etc, maybe there's some settings you can tweak in there? ... not at home right now so can't check myself!

Sorry guys, I haven't checked back through the thread but this is SERIOUSLY annoying me now.
Anyone else been getting [30413][10009][10019]? Just stops the update partway through, if you open up the launcher again it just starts again from the beginning... Doing my nut in!

The updater is the one thing that I havn't had any problems with.
The missus had problems to start with, but that was because she hadn't filled in all her SE account details.. might be worth checking that out?

Yup. Ports forwarded too. Game reinstalled, all files have read only unticked, tried running in compatibility mode, disabled firewall, disabled AV, all the stuff I've seen suggested online really.
Got a ticket with SE too but I doubt they'll be much help looking at what people are saying about them. :/

Right! I've fixed it... I think! Was failing at 200mb max last time, currently on 2gb.
We recently got a new modem/router all in one thing from Virgin. Because of the setup here, I didn't want to use it as that, I just wanted to use it as a modem (Would have meant buying a switch for upstairs if I wanted it to be both).
I just connected it up and left them working as they were. Now this happens and starts annoying me greatly, I look into the settings a bit. Found out you can actually turn off the router side of things on it. Great! Did that, now it's working!
Guess some sort of clash was going on. But there we have it!

So I've logged in to my Square Enix account and even subscribed for another 30 days using crysta I had left over, but where can I actually download the client?
