As it's his first build (and i can't see what he's doing) we're testing first boot outside of the case - as it rules out shorting issues if it fails to boot.
Ram installed
cpu and cooler installed and cooler plugged in to mb.
there were cables with the ram, do these need to go in now??

Jumping ahead -Next thing will be the f-panel equivalent, this is where you connect your computer case to the motherboard, f panel is intel-motherboard standard which i know.
