Flooded car

Yes , the broker went to her manager and said he is also in agreement that its worth 17k.

I think they have looked at adverts for a 300 with a remap and exhaust upto 400/400 like mine and that was priced at 16,500.

Lucky at the weekend someone put this one up ---->HERE<---- nice standard one but still near double my mileage at £18'000 with no mods on so in my eyes they should be valuing it on this one and accounting for the mileage and that as a base car + mod price which I have sent in receipts near to £5000.

I had to haggle with markerstudy to get a reasonable price for my modified civic type r that got written off (accident was a year ago yesterday), they were fairly reasonable to be honest, took a while but the payout was not too bad. Best of luck OP!

They have increased to £18,000 but please see below

It seems they are using examples I personally don't think they should be as they are comparing against a 300 as the mileage is near mine but I don't want an automatic. So they must be placing a value on mods at £3000. The other thing is they have taken off between £800-£1200 of the offer due to being able to reduce the purchase price with the seller in a haggle and apparently they all do this !!!!

Just explain to them that there's a vast difference in price between a 300 and a 360!

I did this and they think the extra 3k left over from buying one at 15k would leave me enough to make it into what mine was.

I said I don't think its right to be compare them and this fell on to deaf ears. I then proceeded to say I don't want an automatic and the guy suddenly said - Yes I would never buy an automatic evo. BOOM neither would I so why compare and expect me to buy one. But he then said they compared mine to a 400 that was modified, so probably 30 where sst , 5 360's and 1 400!! But I kept on about the sst being an auto and have now been asked to find and compare my own list of the manual ones close to mine and of course they start at 18k and this is not a gsr so its missing all the luxuries the car did have lol.

I hope this helps them see what im trying to explain

What the actual????

First of all, I would say the transmission is absolutely fundamental to the driving of the car. It's what you interact with, so you absolutely have the right to demand a non-sst car.

In regards to the rest of the car, how to they think they can get away with comparing a 300 with a 360? Are they saying the remapped 300 can be made as fast as the 360 was???

I'd probably point out the different spec the 360 has over the 300, as there are some differences such as the intercooler, fuel pump, leather seats I believe?

In addition, the only way i'd accept a 300 over the 360 you had before is with a cash payout to cover the difference in value between the two. The 360 is the more desirable car, and they sell for more than the 300's. Jeez, what are these companies smoking?

No chance of seeing if any are on sale similar to yours on lancer forums? Or wouldn't they count them adverts as they count AT/PH/Ebay etc?

Nothing as anything on there has pretty much sold , The only one on autotrader which is a manual and a 360 was an imported gs . They are using pistonheads too and as the link above shows that's what they are starting at as the lower priced ones have sold.

The insurance company also told me the value of these cars are going up as well .

Insurance companies are a pain. Can't they go on sold prices? Or is it on market price in the present?

You could ring around the adverts and tell them to re-advertise them for higher. /cheatmode.

Any on the MLR?

Present market value which is going up.

Ive told them I had the weekend to find standard examples on the same mileage and being a 360 of course. I have added the value of the modifications and it comes to roughly £22'500 for the car and then £5000 for mods not including fitting and I understand I will take a % hit on the mods.
