Nephew is keen on this but is still at an age where the outcome matters more than the journey and doesn't have the longest of attention spans.

Are there still mad tactics you can download where they are 'plug and play'?

You don't need to do the career mode either, there's a simple version where you just buy players and play games basically.

I've basically won the league as Barca with 11 games left being 22 points clear but I'm having issues keeping my squad happy. Normally rely on injuries to help with rotation but having no issues and all my "squad" players are unhappy all the time. Digne, Turan, Alcacer, Busquets are all constantly annoyed and I'm struggling to keep the squad in line.

Any advice?

Try changing their squad status if you haven't done so already, as that tells a player how many games he should be starting. 'Rotation' players can generally be kept happy by promising to give them a few starts. As you're 22 points ahead anyway I don't see the harm in that. They're also more likely to accept it if you tell them that they aren't starting because your first choice player in their position is doing so well. Busquets, on the other hand, is presumably a 'key player,' so if you're not using him often he's not going to be happy. Selling him is probably the best option tbh.

You can agree to sell a player, which will raise their morale and stop them complaining, but not actively seek to sell them. If a bid comes in, reject it, then tell the player that your valuation wasn't met. They'll ask you to tell them how much you'd sell them for and if you don't receive a bid that matches it they'll accept that they're staying at the club.

Personally I always end up selling my senior squad players and replacing them with youngsters who might one day, possibly, if they reach their full potential, be a tiny bit better than them. It's the FM way.

Jesse Lingard valued at £31.5 million have I missed something :p

Signed him for Everton in Summer 2017 for £18.5m, 27 assists and 15 goals in 44 games playing IF on the Left. Spurs offered close to £50m in summer 2018.

Not great attributes but he performs well an 8+ average rating

Just had my Brexit announcement, limiting me to 8 foreign players

Won the treble with Barca in the end. Won the cup easily against Valencia, the league by 27 points over Real and a great Champions League final 5-3 against Juve. Was 1-0 up, 2-1 down, 3-3 before 2 goals in the last 10 minutes won it.

Mainly bringing in youth to fill out squad and releasing a few fringe players though Citeh have offered 30 million for Vidal so tempted to try and go for Bellerin as a replacement if he leaves. Really want to try an engineer a swap of Stergen for De Gea even if I have to pay more but Man Utd don't want to sell and he doesn't want to leave :( most my money (50 mill) Went on Gomes from Porto mid season so don't have loads of cash to play with sadly. He was brilliant though, 13 goals in 13 starts and 10 assists (obviously had sub appearances too)

I use FMScout for all downloads and FM related stuff. FM-Base used to be the pace to go but it's gone massively downhill imo.

Hi guys, what face/club pack is the best to get?

Thanks

Same - FMScout or at least have a look over there.

Approaching brexit time and currently trying to survive the prem as Brentford. Seriously worried it is going to bugger things up for me.

When did your brexit come up? I've not had much time on my Newcastle save but just started playing again and 5 games into 2nd season. Sat 7th with W3, L2. Beat united 1 - 0 then got annihilated by Liverpool 4 - 1.

Oliver Burke looks to be some talent on FM I bought him on my Man Utd save

He's good but I think there's a lot more out there for better money.

OOhhhhh ouch. So you'll need to sell a load of players I presume? I haven't faced a hard brexit as such yet, only once when it was beta and it went pete tong.

It says that I can apply for work permits for players that are already at the club. But considering I have a first team squad of 26 with Everton, 18 of them are foreigners I feel like its killing my game dead. Started the first season with transfer budgets disabled so felt I worked really hard in my first two seasons to get decent results with no quick fixes available. (4th twice, a league cup and UCL last 16)

Might come back to it in a while but fired up a new game with Swansea. Looks like a good challenge as they have one decent defender, no pace up front and awful wingers which discounts a fast direct/counter tactic I usually prefer.

If when we leave the EU Premier League clubs are limited to 8 foreign players I'll buy everyone in this thread a copy of FM2020.

By the way, there is a new patch today. Not sure what it includes, just finding out.

Ref the above problem with Brexit there is a way to deal with this. Get as many 15-17 year old prospects as you can and train them at home. Wait until they are home grown then use them. That's what I did in my game.

Had a Spurs save, got bored resigned and took over Stevenage :P

They were 23rd, 7 losses in a row - used a 4-3-3/4-3-2-1 formation. Inside forwards and 3 central midfielders. Took em to the play off final and lost 3-1 to Pompey. Gonna have a good go of it this season and try to go up as auto. Got 38 yr old Carlos Edwards at RB and Shola Ameobi up top :D

January transfer window patch out.
