Food “shortages”

My store doesn't do online shopping. But I don't understand why some of the subs are crazy. I did an order with Tesco when I was recovering from surgery - unable to drive, plus had a £8 off £40 coupon to use. Ordered a chicken and mushroom pie. Got a chicken pie from the same range instead. I wasn't going to order a chicken and mushroom pie if I didn't like chicken. Then ordered some Sure deodorant. Didn't have the fragrance I ordered, but a different one. These are good subs.

Crazy ones are the ones I mentioned in a previous post - lemon washing up liquid for lemons and tampons for Twix. Do the subs suggestions come up on the online shoppers' handsets or is it shoopers' suggestion? I know they have targets to achieve.

I normally don't mind substitutions, but light "mayo"? I mean wtf. The main ingredient is oil, so how the **** do you propose to make a "light" version?! If you're that much of a fatty you need light "mayo", then maybe just go without and stop ruining the world for the rest of us?!
Oh I'm in the same camp. Full fat but less of it, the light nonsense just fills it up with other gubbins and doesn't taste as nice.

I notice after the recent "furore" over Lurpak being over £5 and placed in security containers in some places that my local Aldi has started stocking it.
I'm sure they've only done it to point out that their own brand stuff (Norpak) is less than half the price and just as good.

Aldi will purchase stock of big brand items when there's delay in obtaining their own product. Sometimes this results in them stocking both products if supply of their own brand comes through at the same time as the replacement branded product or they still have stock of the big brand when their own arrives.

For the life of my I cannot keep herbs alive, i've got plenty of other plants but whenever I buy a herd plant it's dead within a week :(
If you have anywhere outside to put them they look after themselves.

We have sage, chives and mint that need hacking back because they just go mental. Dill is not so predatory.

But I have the same problem with basil indoors, it always seems to look good and the next second as though it's just decided there's no point to life anymore.
