Food you remember from the 80s

Fruit salad goes back further. When I was a boy, fruit salad and blackjack were the cheapest sweets at 4 for a penny. You could really stretch your pocket money with those.

Ah, a fellow ancient!

I remember Hubba Bubba gum being 2 a penny and he size of an old 10p piece. A quarter of most sweets was 10p at the local corner shop.

I remember we often had a fry up on Sat night, the greasy works, egg, chips, beans, sausage while watching the A-team. Good days.

No non sweet food really stands out, we ate well though, had our own potatoes, eggs and veg, ate best cuts of meat, topside, sirloin regularly etc.

People were poor generally in those days.

we still use them ..lol for weddings creamy mushroom and onion filling

Well that`s wrong straight away, they should be home baked and filled with tiny prawns from the cord en blue freezer place and marie sauce from salad cream and DADDIES tom ketchup. Maybe just maybe 5 sprinkles of paprika.

Takes me back to my childhood...

Chelsea Whoppers and the pink and white Nougat.

Cherry lips, the hard almost perfumed ones. Not the soft haribo one's you get now.
