**Football 19th-22nd March** 2010/2011

Aye saw it, but Evans isn't sliding, not until he has hit him anyways.

Sorry, sliding in, as in, not stood standing, as Nani was when Carragher came in at knee height.

Carraghers was definitely worse, with Evans both players dived in pretty similarly just Holden came off a lot worse.

Yeah, both pretty big lunges, just the way Holden sweeps his foot around and Evan goes straight in makes it look awful.

Evans one was a 50-50 challenge, but he jumps in two feet, with his studs up. Not high though, both were sliding in on the ground, so thats why its on his knee.

it looks to me like single footed (otherwise I totally agree with you), trailing leg is definitely bent away from the tacke

Yes, but Evans is a complete and utter braindead muppet who was clumsy.

Carragher knew what he was doing and is a total ****.

Anyway, good result in the end, I said Berba owed us a goal! :p

Nani just reminded me of Ronaldo the last 15 minutes or so, absolutely explosive and running the game upfront.

So can someone explain how Carragher sliding in and catching the man 2ft higher is a yellow but Evans sliding in against a Bolton player also sliding in is a straight red? More crappy reffing today from the handball at the start all the way through.

Didn't create a single chance really today, fortunate is not the word. Were a lot more effective once Nani was allowed to move around more rather than being tethered to the left.

****ing bottling *****. At least we got a point, but seriously, our season just doesn't add up.

Points we've taken from other teams:
Man City - 4
Chelsea - 3
Newcastle - 1
West Brom - 1

We should really be a few points clear at the top by now! It's games like today that we really need to win, otherwise the whole season comes down to a difficult game against united at the emirates. If we had just beaten West brom both times this season we could have been 1 point clear with a game in hand. It's looking more and more like United VS Arsenal will be the title decider.

Manuel Almunia has conceded five goals from just seven shots on target against West Brom this season & one save was a penalty.

Sorry, Carragher has never been that sort of player, maybe just caught up in the heat of the moment but to label him a word beginning with c i imagine for one awful tackle is abit OTT.

Jonny Evans is a hero for his fly kick on Drogba.

Carra's was a red, so was Evans, not really bad reffing today, more Phil Dowd being a tit and letting players fight the other week.

From the radio sounded like you created a decent few chances, certainly in the first half.

Did Sagna dive there, rather than get the ball he'd won really well and continue the attack, I couldn't tell without a replay, if he dived, unforgiveable when they were under that much pressure, he won the ball, get it, put it in.

More points dropped, Utd play a tough Bolton, play badly(from what I saw) went down to 10 men, and win, we dominate, against a relegation quality side, make the same old mistakes and drop points.

I mean Fergie played Evans today, shouldn't have but he was almost a last resort, Carrick or Fletcher in the defence was really the only other option, they still win. Denilson SHOULD be our last resort(or not at the club) yet Wenger willingly plays him over much much much better players, why? Honestly can't understand it.

Adding to the other post about who I'd buy, its not WHO i'd buy, or even if they are good. I'd be happier as a fan, a player, and a board owner if my manager could actually regonise the problem and TRY to fix it. If he sold Denilson, bought Random player Y, and he's rubbish, at least he see's the problem and is trying to fix it. If the new guy sucks, get rid and buy another player, its the not recognising the problem that is the worst part. You can't fix a problem till you can see it, if you can't see a problem, ANY other manager who can see that problem would be better for now.

Stoke had 40% possession and we still manage to get butt-****ed. Difference is they took their chances.

We're are getting closer and closer to the bottom 3.

Pity he didnt do that for 70 odd minutes until that point really lol (yes I know he was on his less prefered side but even so)

Well done Utd, really thought they were going to drop some points there (and could easily have seen a fluke of a winner from Bolton going in too)

PS Thank you Arsene - good competition ........while it lasted :D

edit does the Stoke /Newcastle result mean that Stoke are better than Arsenal :D
