Football in Manchester

I know very little. But what I do know is, that they cannot afford to function as a business/football club. Therefore, they shouldn't.

I don't see how anything else affects it? If Sheffield United were to be in the same financial situation, I would try and help, if possible - But I wouldn't expect others to, as it was the clubs fault in the first place. How is this not the same for Hyde? Ohh wait, it is.
As is usually the case a previous administration spent beyond their means and failed to ensure that creditors were paid at the time. Those guys disappeared leaving the people that were left to pick up the tab.

Do these guys deserve no sympathy whatsoever?

There's Arsenal and Man City (according to some league I saw)
I'd beg to differ. Both clubs are surely heavily subsidised by rich backers at the club. I'd be very surprised if any of the successful Premiership clubs were able to sustain themselves with money that they generated themselves.

Jeff stop been bitter.

Hyde United are going to go under at this rate, nothing less then they deserve for been ran like ****. Football is a business now, the game has evolved. If you can't keep the club a float, you don't deserve to be running.

Many other football clubs, in a similar position, in lower league and the higher leagues aren't doing too badly, they're ran much better then Hyde.

Personally, I don't give a ****.
Hyde United, have nobody else to blame but themselves, and to ask other football clubs for help is pathetic.

You are continually making yourself out to look a fool, your ranting about been more of a fan and all that gibberish.
Very emotive post there Tummy bordering on personal insults. Not many facts though.

They deserve sympathy, yes. I have never said I don't feel sorry for the people involved.

But that doesn't mean anyone but their supporters should be helping them out though.

Post above: Where are the personal insults?

The word "fool", there's no need to take that tone. I have an opinion and I'm just expressing it.

Besides [Cas], with Hyde, they've tried to pay off their debt the honourable way and have ended up in this mess. It's sad, imagine if the team that you supported week in, week out were suddenly not playing any more. That would leave a big hole in your weekend!

It's pretty much down to the supporters now to try to raise enough money to be able to return to the High Court and pay off their tax debt in full plus they have to prove that the club is solvent and can run itself. They're desperate and they have until tomorrow to raise the funds that they need. Ricky Hatton has been quoted as saying that he'd like to help but as yet hasn't contributed, he's from Hyde.

Believe it or not, all supporters of different clubs don't hate each other!

Like I said earlier, if the same was to happen to Sheff Utd, I'd be devastated, and would do all I could to help. But I wouldn't expect anything from any other fans, as it's not their mess.

Funnily enough, I get along fine with Tummy, even though he supports Wednesday. So, where did the "Supporters of different clubs don't hate each other!" come from? Seems a little unfounded, since most people on this forum, atleast, have quite a bit of banter going on, but mostly amicable banter.

You not expecting other fans from other clubs to get involved during another teams hour of need.

My club get loads of help from outlying football clubs when we got flooded out of our ground, although it was those closest to us that offered little or nothing. That, however, is a different story!

Considering the Premier League makes BILLIONS of Pounds each year, they seem to do very little for Non-League Football from what is published. The recent "dontation" is little more than pocket money for England's top league.

Stuff like that I have no problem with. It's that you expect monetary help, to help bad finances, when it is the clubs own fault for that.

Absolutely bizarre.

The supporters of Hyde are going cap in hand to try to raise £100k to save their club in 72 hours and you give them a cheese sandwich!

I wouldn't give them that, they're not my club.

That's the point that I think you're missing, while we all feel sorry another club is going under, we have no interest because it happens.

That's just the way it is baby.

The reason smaller clubs are going under is because not enough local people are attending. Instead of visiting a club that is 5 minutes down the road they would rather spend £50 a month and watch the Premier League whilst sitting on their sofa.

So the smaller clubs try to do what ever they can to attract more fans, including going above their means. It will only get worse, more clubs will go under.

And before you ask yes I do support my local club week in week out.

I'd expect that from a sofa dweller who shouts at the TV like you though. Baby.

Yep, I imagine G|mp sat in his gimp suit at home, watching football for all of his life. I doubt he knows what a football ground looks like, unlike you because you're a "real" fan.

Look, we don't care about Hyde United, they're are not our club. They've been ran in to the ground, that is nobodies fault except the people running the club. They deserve to be where they are.

I'm pretty sure everyone on here feels sorry for football clubs that do go out of business, many of them would probably be devastated if this happened to their club. I also, don't think that it has anything to do with other football clubs, and they have no reason to help the clubs in trouble.

Blaming the premier league is wrong, many other non league clubs get along fairly well. Only the badly ran clubs go under. You reap what you sow.
