parnaby was ok but i signed josemi as cover and he seems to play better even though its not his best position :)

signed quite a few half decent players for cheap so i was mostly rotating the squad at the end of the season.



rochemback - blondel
boateng - motta

etc...
all the strikers seemed to be on top form

only let down is keeper but frey is coming in the summer for 600k :D

Well I hope you people were right as I just spent £16m on Rafinha. Diego from porto though got snatched by Werden Bremen or something and have difficulties signing Gladstone. What I need now is a very good midfielder (got £28m left for transfers).

Patience, chelsea wanted one of my strikers and i wanted a goal keeper. He cost me 30m plus a striker who was worth 20m, but he was worth it.

Had no problems agreeing terms with him, he told me what he wanted and i gave it to him. Im in 2010 now so i don't know if that made a difference

That's easily one of the best teams in the world... I still don't know how you're tempting players away from Chelsea and Arsenal. I'm Ipswich on my game, we've won the league and Champions League three times, yet some of my players still want to join a big club. I haven't even been able to sign Joe Cole, when he wanted away. :confused:

What version of the game is that on? 5.03? 5.02?

I still have players that i cant sign and i have had load of players leave for a bigger club, scott parker was one, now he's with chelsea.

Rooney or Gerrard wont leave thier clubs foy anything no matter how much money i throw at them :(
 
Yeah I'm trying to tempt a 27 year old Rooney away to Ipswich at the moment, not happening.

What's quite annoying about this game is that I'm still having to sign youngsters and build them up into world class players rather than signing already world class players, even in 2014 with £70m in the bank.
 
Sorry if this has already been asked/answered but I'm playing FM2005 on and off because I haven't got around to buying 2006 yet but is there anything I can do to pacify players. I'm doing pretty well in the league and cup but a few of my players(mostly new signings on Bosmans) "want reassurance regarding their role in the team" and they are played on rotation although their role in the team is listed as indispensible for some, everyones morale is superb.

Any help would be appreciated otherwise I might just have to buy FM2006 although I don't know that I'd play it enough :)

Thanks for the answer, yep I've tried that and it just upsets them as well as now they aren't sure if they made the right move coming to my club. The really stupid part is that they do get to play in pretty much every game, they are either starting one week and then on as a sub the next or vice versa.
 
do any you guys have an idea at what age players need to have joined your side at for them to be considerd trained by your club?

Im gettin fed up with only being able to have a smallish squad avaliable for the Champions league.
 
Been toying with the idea of getting this and was wondering how difficult it would be to get into bearing in mind I've never played any of the CM or FM series before.

I would get it. It is a cracking game. I'd heard of the CM/FM series but had never played it until about 18 months ago. A mate of mine bought FM05 and got me to buy it, it was amazing. I then pre-ordered FM06. It is amazing how much time this game can absorb. "Just one more game and then I'll......", how many times have I thought that?

If you look around you can get FM06 for £17.99.

Playing a 4-5-1 formation I have finished 2nd in the Premiership in my first season. Not bad eh!

In the summer I bought Adu who got injured in his first game after 30mins and has been out the past 3 months. Torn calf muscle. Gutted :p

Currently sitting pretty four points clear at the top in the next season. Played 13 Won 11 Drawn 1 Lost 1

Collins John is a goal sex machine. 30 in the Premiership last season and 22 in 13 games this season.

:eek: Amazing. Fulham I take it? Can you post a screenshot of your formation perhaps? I play as Man Utd since I'm a fan and can only ever finish 2nd or 3rd. I've heard about people who win the league at the first try with Utd and I am just dumbfounded how they do this.

Ouch pity. He's been amazing for me since I bought him last season (on the 07-08 season at the moment I think). He had about 3 games in a row getting hatricks, and he very rarely doesn't score at least once a match.
 
currently playing on my chelsea game won the premiership and fa cup. top scorer was vucinic with 28 goals in 28 games hes been injured a lot though. robben and duff are brilliant
