Football manager 2016

Cheers fellas, will grab it at some point.

Could any of you suggest/link me to kitpacks, photo packs etc. I'll likely be playing in either England Spain or Germany.

Much appreciated :)

Just go to FM16 Essentials and download what you need from there. I have the licence fix, logos, kit pack and face pack all from there. I got fed up of using the rubbish file sharing sites they linked to so paid the £8 for the 12 month premium membership via paypal and just cancelled the recurring payment straight away. Just means I can download full packs directly without having to download 5/6 packs on fileshare or whatever rubbish they directed me to.

I'm playing the demo and enjoying it although there are still a few strange things happening with transfers; Man U came in with a bid for Janmaat which I turned down saying the offer was too low (well below asking price). A few days later they came back with exactly the same offer, again I turned it down saying it was too low. A week later, and they're back with exactly the same offer, again . A similar situation for one of the DC which I've had about 20 teams try to loan, and I've said "no, he's a first team player", and he is, yet still the loan offers come in.
Aside from that strange AI behaviour, I'm enjoying this version and will probably end up buying FM Touch when it's released (hopefully this week).

I ended up shifting Janmaat for £16 million to United to fund rebuilding at the back. Just brought in Passlack from Dortmund on loan with a future fee of £15 million. Heard that Newcastle get around £40 million in January to spend. Also on the save I shared further up the page, 8 Years Later, Newcastle have spent around £40/£50 million each season with a new chairman. Just gotta grind through the first season. Only 3 games in, beat City and Palace at home 1 v 0 and 3 v 0 but then got humped by Liverpool 3 v 0 at Anfield. Aiming for top 8 and develop squad in time for a title charge in around 3 years. - I never buy into these 'just won the league with Watford in first season, check out my tactic rubbish' :D

I took southampton to 2nd in the league first season on FM14. This was when they had luke shaw, lovren, clyne, lallana etc. though. Dropped to about 6th/7th in 2nd season, then went 2nd again and then save got corrupted :(

Forgot how frustrating lower leagues are, it's doing my head in. I'm sure it's just 75% luck 20% fastest players and 5% actual tactics. Just want to wipe the team and start again but you can't even afford get rid of the deadwood! Everything I remember doing to get Cambridge to champions league champions isn't working in FM16 :(

Anyone follow "StatApp FM16" on youtube by the way? Starting his lower league mega long term campaign tonight, very much looking forward to it not least to get some tips!

Must be 40mill second season as I certainly didn't get that in January! Got 8mill for being top 5

Btw does anyone know the best way to develop hot prospects?

Got a few in the squad but is it primary games, training or goo coaches that bring them on?

First off, reviews on this? I have football manager 12, 12, 14, and as you can see, it's time to buy a new one :)

Second, current cheapest place to buy? May hold out for Black Friday

tesco have disk limited edition for 30 in store i got mine 27 before release on gmg check cdkeys.com as the games out and beta is pointless now so hype is gone

Usually to get the best out of some, i'll either star them in the lower end league games quite often, or bring on as subs. Or send them to a fairly reputable club on loan for a season. Usually i'll send a few of my good prospects out on loan, but keep 1 or 2 for the first team rotation. Especially cup games.

There are lots of ways of developing hot prospects and now there's an added 'bonus' in FM16. Now when the regen is created there is a possibility that the player's potential ability has a random potential factor added to it. This means that instead of having that player capped you have the ability to improve them via game time and intensive training.

The original ways of development still stand too, but this depends very much on your club. You need the best training and youth facilities you can afford. You need the best junior coaching budget and the best intake. You also need the best coaches. All these options will improve the quality of your development.

If you are a lower tier club and have mediocre facilities then you need game time. The best way generally is to loan the player out and have them develop at a club with good facilities.

I try to play them as often as possible with teamtalk as no pressure, play your natural game and if i'm winning 2/3 nil against a very big reputation club i throw them on for the last 10/15 mins for the 'big game' exposure.

Still wish all PA was flexible both up and down. Vardy and Kane are prime examples, I suspect on FM13/14 and maybe even 15 they were both pretty average, PA should have a range of 30/40 depending on how you employ them etc and if they hit form like Vardy has.

This has been implemented in 16, or something like it at least.

Thought they had a maximum but that it wasnt flexible as in the player could only ever reach say 160 though he may not if not played, but if you take Vardy again he could have a PA of 160 but in reality once he hits it he should have the chance to hit 165 if you set the training right etc. Think a fully dynamic player PA would make focussing on homegrown youth so much more rewarding

Stayed up until 130 on a work night but so worth it! Managed to finish 4th, on the second last game ManU drew with Arsenal and I pipped them to the last spot :D

Brilliant season!

Initial board expectations is only a 28mil transfer kitty which is disappointing though!

Get in!

It's actually a little confusing if you ask me. The maximum PA is capped yes, but in reality, I think the max PA has been adjusted upwards to take into account this random factor. So if a player was 170 out of 200 in FM15, he may well be 180 out of 200 in this game. But that's only with certain regens apparently, and not all players. I've not yet found a player with this ability.

First save I was Norwich and managed to last 3 seasons.

Finishing 13th in the first season and 8th in the 2nd, didn't make it past December on the third.

Started a new save with Wolves, got promoted.
This is how the season looked at the end

Just bought this, can't wait until it arrives (along with my tablet) looks like the best version in a while?

Unquestionably the best version I've played. There appear to be a lot of fundamental changes under the hood and it just has a better, more fluid feel to it. I seem to remember saying this last year, but oh boy it is tough in the lower leagues...

but oh boy it is tough in the lower leagues...

Can say that again. I score lots of nice goals and have decent possession but the defenders are just completely inept at lower levels. I have an experienced CB with 14 marking and even has "marks opponent tightly" PPM but I've yet to see any marking of any kind from him :p

Sitting in 5th in League 2 right now but 2nd to 14th are covered by 6 points, I got knocked out of all cups in first round and it goes without saying my star player picked up long term injury! :o
