Football *Spoilers* 26/27/28 April

Nothing positive about the game. Not one single thing. Rooney and Vidic injured. :(

My thoughts too... I realise the squad wasn't going to be full strength when we're going to play Barca on Tuesday. But I'd really hate to see us lose everything now.

Chelsea have Bolton and Newcastle, which you don't expect them realistically to drop any points. If Newcastle have a good day and start playing again like they have in the last few games then it might be a draw.

We've got Wigan and West Ham. West Ham have been somewhat of a bogey team for us as well.

It's going to be a very tight finish.

I'm so angry, I can't believe it, we should be winning the league at a canter this season, instead we're looking like throwing it all away. Fact is, if we can't beat Wigan and West Ham we don't deserve to be champions, and our recent form is testament to that.

Also, must add, I hate Chelsea and more than anything I hate Martin Tyler, biased ****.

I'm really hoping you aren't saying it's a penalty because Andy "I hate ManYoo until I die" Gray said it was?

You're going a good way to cheering me up already! :D

Saw it with my own eyes. Never listen to Andy Gray anyhow cause he always thinks he right well this time he was anyhow.:)

Why did Ferguson take Anderson off for O'Shea? Abit cowardly I thought. Basically said to Chelsea 'we're going to sit back now, so come break us down'.

But you can't blame bed reffing on dropped points when your team isn't performing.

I wouldn't blame it for the odd match, but 3 matches in a row? at this stage of the season? I think I've got a point. Especially in a a semi final of the biggest footballing tournament, you expect the reffing to be nigh on perfect.

If you look at the replay you can clearly see it's not intentional. I think the linesman just decided it would be "a laugh" - I can't think of any other reason! :o

This is the problem, United, full strength in their best formation WILL have no problem defeating either side comfortably.

However, Fergies increasingly stupid selections and formations are costing us points we shouldnt be loosing.
There was no way Giggs should have been on the pitch today, and no way we should have left Tevez out for Rooney up front on his own agaisnt the second best defense in the world.

Anyone else think taking Anderson off was a really bad decision? He was our best player today, and Chelsea were starting to leave all sorts of gaps in the middle of their defence. We tried to start the game by keeping a clean sheet and it didn't work, so I don't understand why Fergie thought it'd be wise to try and hold on to the draw, Chelsea were blatently going to pile forward and we could have killed them off on the break (which Anderson always seemed to be part of). Really disapointing substitution and I knew at that point we'd be extremely lucky to get anything.

ahh well if referrees got decision right arsenal would be fighting for the league still and would be in the semi final of the champs league against chelsea.

you just need to accept decisions go against you even if you are MAN UTD

If you'd dominated many of these games maybe, but Man Utd have seriously underperformed recently. Theres no if or buts about it.

Totally negative, I can't believe this is the same team that was winning matches 3 and 4 nil. We've never been about containment and defence, it doesn't suit our strengths at all, there was just so much wrong with the performance today and it starts with the players on the pitch. Giggs was awful yet got a full 90 minutes, he should have been off for Tevez at 60 minutes if not sooner. It frustrated me he took all our set pieces when Nani has much better delivery- it was a total waste of opportunities.

I make my own decisions, don't care what commentators say.

Don't know what you mean by 'replays say it', you mean you've seen the replays and think it was a pen?

I can't find a clip of the incident unfortunately, but if you can. Tell me why it was not a penalty? Marquez makes no contact with the ball, yet takes Ronaldo out when he was through on goal, do you know the rules of football?

Yeah we have played very poor, but if Chelsea are to beat us, it shoudn't be with a non-existent penalty.

They were good value for the win, but I also thought our defending was good - enough to maybe pinch a draw. Pity the official wrecked that. :(

Despite today's result I wouldn't be worrying much if I was a Man U fan.

I think they will crush West Ham easily, and I think Newcastle away is a very difficult fixture for Chelsea. Their record hasn't been the best up there in recent seasons, and Newcastle have put some very good results together just lately. Chelsea, imo, will have to be very good on the day to beat them, but I can see it ending up 0-0.

So yeah, Man U will still win the Premiership.
