Football *Spoilers* 26/27/28 April

ahh well if referrees got decision right arsenal would be fighting for the league still and would be in the semi final of the champs league against chelsea.

you just need to accept decisions go against you even if you are MAN UTD

I totally agree with you, arsenal have had some terrible decision go against them as well (although obviously not against us with that goal ) But why isn't anything being done about it? We have the technology to fix these sort of **** ups. Its just pitiful really. Its not just because we lost, I can accept defeat, Man City out classed us, Boro were deserving of a draw if not a win.

The first penalty United have conceded in the league all season. To be bemoaning referring decisions with a thing like that in reflection, is a bit cringeworthy.

United lost it today because Chelsea wanted it more. Ferguson's tactics and Ronaldo's absence go a long way as to prove that.

They've put themselves in this position.

Thought Hargraves was a disgrace and should have been sent off for his constant moaning - no different to Mascherano at all, infact it was even more aggressive and just as regular. Ashley Cole could have the same thing applied to him.

For some reason i felt comfortable all the way through the match, Knowing we could score any time from anything, until the final whistle when i thought we we unlucky, taking Anderson off was a bad idea, and ronaldo not on from the start :/, 2 line clearances and 1 stone wall penalty we should have had.

What happened to vidic ? i mist the first 15mins

I feel sorry for grant with the talk that no matter what he does he will probably be out the door.

Hes been unlucky this season imo having lost drogba, terry and lampard for large parts of the season

Mourinho never had to deal with those losses

Bringing O'Shea on was lunacy. Absolute lunacy. I still don't understand it. Ferguson had his eye on todays game when we played Barcelona and it showed. And he had his eye on the Barcelona game on Tuesday today and yet again it showed by the tactics. He needs to think about the here and now, not the next game. Chelsea outplayed us today, simple as, and they deserved to win but not that way, not by a penalty by that ****wit Ballack who should have conceded a penalty against Ronaldo 20 minutes before.

And Giggs.... I know I can't blame him personally as he doesn't have the ability to pick the team and include himself, but he is incredibly frustrating to watch. And I never want to see him start a game for us again. Bobby Charlton's record doesn't deserve to be beaten this way, and in the fashion he's playing.

I think Ferguson has to go unfortunately, its bad decisions time after time after time, its not even a strong league this year and he has ballsed it up from day one.

I actually agree, some of his decisions are really starting to cost us. I hate being critical to Giggs because he's one of my favorite players and a legend at the club, but he just can't hack it for us anymore.

You know what, I've seen players having stinkers (including me) who seen the effect they are having on the team and have asked to come off.
The fact that he seems to be happy putting in performances like he is doing is testament to his self interest.
He pulls out of tackles, he doesnt work hard, you know why? he picks a knock and its bye bye appearance record and THAT is a disgusting attitude.

I agree with that but I can't believe you guys are suggesting Ferguson has to go?

Exactly, and I wonder how many games on top of the record he wants to finish his career. I don't want to see him next season and unfortunately for us he can't beat the record with the remaining games this season. He's been a great player for the club, but even he must know deep down his time is gone, but this frickin' record is there, and both him and Ferguson want to beat it, yet another comparison to Ferguson and his teams and Sir Matt Busby and his teams.

what a nightmare day.
poor performance, result, discipline and on top injury's.
i was ashamed of hargreves - his attitude was shocking.
all in all we got what we deserved.
now its upto us to recover and improve because theres still plenty to play for, if were strong enough mentally

He has the strongest side in a weak league and its only bizarre team selection that is costing us points.
Its clear as day the inclusion of EITHER scholes and giggs is a decision that costs us points, leaving Rooney out costs us points, and he has done it time after time, even when there has been no reason to change.

Benitez learnt to stop doing it because it cost Pool points, and now ferguson is making the same idiot decisions.

Crap performance, but we deserved more than we got. We should have had a penalty, and I'm still dubious as to whether or not that ball even struck Carricks hand at all. Dissapointed in the decision, but you can't blame that for the loss, we have the quality to go to Chelsea and beat them fair and square, and you have to point the finger and the players who played badly and the manager for his decisions. Anderson off for O'Shea was ridiculous, as was playing Rooney on his own, he doesn't play well like that.

One thing that irritated me though, is why Ballack didn't get sent off. Andy Gray may say Wiley used his head, and tbh, I think it'd be a crap reason for being sent off, but the refs job is not to use his head, its to apply the laws of the game, and he should have been shown two yellow cards (not even counting his bear hug on Ronaldo). He'd have no one to blame but himself, why take off your shirt, and why run in to the crowd, knowing your already on a yellow?
