Ford Mustang to be released in EU

The auto is a dual clutch isn't it?

I doubt it, as its bloody slow. :D

It if is dual clutch and could be mapped to be as quick and sporty as newest DSG/PDK then I'd actually consider it, but all the US review show it clearly taking 1-2s to change gears.

what colour you thinking gibbo?

ive went for magnetic but with ceramic leather but can see that changing many times over the year.

Magnetic grey with ebony interior.

Shall then add myself black elanor stripes and asking Ford if they can't do Recaro's to at least give me red stitching extra leather pack.

i asked the dealer today about the recaros. he didn't know anything about Europe getting them and not the UK. so just left it at that. maybe nearer the time.

They don't. the guy even admitted that. Ford are taking all the "ford store" staff to Spain for a test and product knowledge seminar.

Building on the popularity of the 2015 Mustang, the new 2015 Shelby GT goes global

Based on the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT, the Shelby American GT has been unveiled as a high performance halo for the Mustang range. Better yet, the 2015 Shelby GT is scheduled for international delivery from early Spring 2015, making it the first model in the company’s history to be designed and developed as a global car.

Possibly around £70k all in for 618hp Shelby.

Be interesting to find out if the uk/USA engine/exhaust setup is same as USA cars are 435BHP yet UK are 418BHP so does different ECU map or actual change in exhaust or intake setup?

If all hardware is same then for about £500 a gain of 40BHP/40lbft comes easily and cheap, did this on my last mustang so easy and reliable to do:

Or one can expect maybe Mountune to offer something similar in uk.

But 470ish BHP from intake and tune will be nice, a lighter, louder and more free flowing manifold/exhaust could unlock a further 20-30BHP/left too and don't need to inform anyone that with 500BHP it would seriously shift. :D

0-100mph on stock car is supposedly 9.7s by the way. :)

P.S. Supercharger and turbo kits already out that take engine to 600-700BHP for circa 5k

There was a discussion on Mustang6g regarding the power loss on the Euro/UK cars. Some were suggesting that the cars we'll get over here use leftover 2014 GT engines which had less power but I don't think that's the case based on some of the brochures detailing the engine upgrades over the 2014 cars. Someone pointed out that the Euro engines meet Euro 6 emissions whereas the US ones only meet Euro 5 emissions so it may simply be a case of a detune.
