Ford Mustang to be released in EU

Deeply hooded dials, chrome dial rings, ball shaped dash vents, the toggle style dash switches and the coloured dash strip... Plenty of hints of retro there to my eyes. Its a pretty successful interior given the price range IMO.

The GTs around £43k but the GT350, no idea. It wouldn't be until much later in the year I suspect. The owner did say he was keeping the first one for himself .

They also do modifications so I imagine they'd be able to import parts from America quite easily. Handy having them local to me if I ever did get a Mustang...

Is that car at Bill Shepherd in Byfleet?

Checked on PH, ten people who have ordered and all chosen V8's will be interesting to see which engine is most popular in UK, I've got a feeling us Brits will go for the V8, especially enthusiast. :)

Part of me wants to see the EcoBoost four banger do well, because it's a good engine and in virtually any other car in the Ford range it would be right at home.

The other part of me wants to see mahoosive V8s.

:o:D

I'm surprised to see the CO2 so high on the V8 - over 330g/km? On my 4.2L Jag V8 that was designed over 10yrs ago it's only 274g/km..

Maybe, but they perhaps could've done better. The 5L V8 in the newer Jags is up at 379bhp with 264g/km so 10-15% less power, 25% lower CO2 emissions..

About time they got rid of the CO2 tax nonsense anyway.

And that looks rubbish alongside the BMW M5, 560bhp and 231g/km.

But this is all Euro market specific, it probably wasn't worth the bother of gaming the system like it is for an EU market car.

Ford have done such an awesome job with this. Still don't like the idea of a four cylinder mustang though, its got to be V8 all the way.

That newer 5L V8 is no longer made in NA spec anyway :P

Flipping heck that Borla exhaust sound put a huge smile on my face lol
My 6 year old daughter came running over and told me I need to buy one.

Not in this life time love :(

Hi there

Not 100% sure how concrete this is yet, but my Ford dealership got in touch today stating the Mustang priority team got in touch with them regarding the first 500 cars stating I am or should be getting one. They did not confirm which number I am or a delivery date but will come back to me later this week with such info.

What the dealership stated is so far Ford have pretty much guaranteed them a minimum of three cars and as I was the first to give a deposit I am getting the first car they take delivery of.

EXCITED! :D
