Would be the eco boost model, the V8 is $10k more, then 25% higher fuel consumption and requires 98 Ron fuel which is 25% more than regular unleaded. I can't justify spending the extra for a bit more performance and noise.
Have you got that the right way round? In the US the Ecoboost can run on regular gas but it only makes 275hp (down from 310) which is quite a drop! I think the V8 only loses a few hp on regular.

4.8s? I'd feel like I was going backwards
quick but not as quick as Gibbo is making out
What will be the 0-100 MPH with the supercharger?
Anything that starts with a 0 will never be its strong point, RWD, Manual it will never compete with something like a GTR, 911 etc.
30-130mph, a different story, well with a supercharger anyway.
Here is how the previous Shelby model goes, which is around 660BHP:
That's Bill Shephard isn't it? I passed by there a few weeks back and didn't see the orange one .
It is, I think they had only just finished getting it converted to UK spec when I saw it. You can't drive it though as it's for sale with no miles, they have a demo car coming in within the next month.

Meanwhile the prospect of a Cadillac CTS has my anticipation levels really building
That's pretty insane acceleration. Personally I'd still opt for the Challenger SRT Hellcat Shame they aren't sold in the UK like the Mustang
I agree. I think I'd pick the Challenger over the Mustang given the choice. Just something about it in orange or black that I love.
