Ford Mustang to be released in EU

Take the Ford badge off (if there is one) and most people won't have a clue anyway. Unless someone knows their cars most people don't have a clue what mine is, just how I like it :)

Looking forward to seeing yours though, I keep thinking I should've put a deposit down months ago but the missus would've had me by the nuts if she found out I was buying a Mustang instead of saving a house deposit :D

Mustang have not had Ford badge for years, infact not sure if they ever have, but certainly S197 and S550 just have a Pony and GT badge traditionally. :)

That would have been the old CTS which, as you say, was a terrible car. Unlucky to get one still last year, must have been one of the last of the 2013's.

The new model is exceptionally good. I've had the smaller ATS the last few times and it's a deeply impressive car with a quality interior, good handling, a wide range of standard equipment and frankly enough to make it better in many areas than the 3 Series.

How do you find the external appearance? The photos I've seen depict a pretty hideous looking rear.

Couple of reviews of the Euro-Stang:

The pictures are wrong though. The V8 Coupe review shows an EcoBoost Coupe and the EB Vert review shows the GT Vert.

Seems they like it, all reviews do seem to highlight how good gear change is and steering feel. Look forward to driving one, but that will no doubt be my own and I'll be caring from a Porsche and M3, both hydraulic steering with the Porsche 997.1 regarded as the best there is.

For me I just see it as a total package car, great looks, incredible sounds, a real nice place to sit with toys that you actually use, good performance, hugely tuneable and a great drive, happy to cruise or attack a road. I think for the class of car, with that engine and those equipment levels, what is better for sub 35k brand new?

This is very much on a short list for me to look at. There is one small fly in the ointment.......... Has anyone seen any reviews of the auto? Shameful I know but I am going to need to head to auto's in the future.

Yes, it's a full auto and it's rather slow but if you don't mind that it's fine.

Had forgotten about this, but we test drove the 2.3 ecoboost when we were in the states in April, unfortunately it was the middle of a thunderstorm on our last day so didn't really get to put it through it's paces, it's a very accomplished package however. We're going to be testing it again, and the 5.0 when we go back at the end of the month.

The difference in price between here and the US is rather staggering however, you can pick up a decently specced 2.3 for the equivalent of £18000 over there.

At that cash its a machine :)

We can only use what the manufacturer supplies sometimes, and it doesn't always tally with what's actually on the launch :)

Carbon fibre:
Front splitter
Side splitters
Rear wings
Bonnet vents
Engine bay carbon fibre engine covers.
Might go with those wheels as well, but was looking at some silver 19/20 concave wheels as don't really want black wheels.

No idea on cost, but hey you only live once.

Supercharger kit I am looking also at Henessey HPE 700/750 which deliver around 725-800BHP, but they do not sell as a DIY kit, so might go with the Roush/Ford option to maintain warranty potentially which is good for circa 700BHP, which is not exactly poor and is around £4500ish landed.

But pretty much decided on the Henessey carbon kit/trim, it looks absolutely stunning. :)
