Ford Mustang to be released in EU

I've heard Mountune might be importing some of the Ford performance parts.

This.
Expect the FFRP catback which is one best sounding exhaust and FRPP handling kit which is Eiback lowering springs and anti roll bars.

Supercharger kit unknown but I'll go Whipple.

Hi there

Well that the bodykit sorted me thinks for mine:

Carbon fibre:
Front splitter
Side splitters
Rear wings
Bonnet vents
Engine bay carbon fibre engine covers.
Might go with those wheels as well, but was looking at some silver 19/20 concave wheels as don't really want black wheels.

Very nice! Though i think that front splitter is a bit OTT for British road use... I'd be too afraid to lose it in bumps and driveways. Also looks a tiny bit too low to me. The rest however is lovely!

I hope the chassis can put all that 700+ HP down. I see a lot of videos from US tuners with very high dyno HP figures but when they drive them on the street it's just lots of lag then 2 seconds of furious wheelspin then change gear and repeat.

It's a supercharger not a turbo.

Mad that the engine can take so much extra power with no internal work, must cost Ford a boat load more money than needed to build these engines!

In many ways its actually cheaper and easier to build something that is massively over strong. To design, stress and then manufacture something that is as light as possible with just sufficient strength to meet the design and life requirements takes a lot of work.

Gibbo (and anyone else for that matter!), if you do go down the supercharger/more powah!!111oneone route then do please consider upgrading the oil pump gears to something a bit stronger than the stock ones.

Hot Rod magazine did a piece on Livernois Motorsports' upgrade.

just seen this thread... definitely want one, 5L of course! but won't be able to afford it first hand atm, so gonna have to wait till theres some decent specced ones going for cheaper :(

apparently UK will be getting a Shelby model too!?

Will these new Mustangs have Ford's crappy keyless entry system like the Fiesta St and Focus RS's that can be stolen in under a minute?
It's sad to say but if they do they are going to be a no1 target for scumbags to steal as they stand out so much
Think a garage would be required to keep one of them in lol
Can't wait to see them on the road though they look Epic!

How do you find the external appearance? The photos I've seen depict a pretty hideous looking rear.

Oops, hadn't noticed this. I quite like the way it looks all round. Not sure I'd take another this year as first choice though as I'd like to try something new. One things for sure, if there is a new Mustang waiting there I'll walk straight past (To try and keep on topic) :p
