Ford Mustang to be released in EU

I've just contacted my dealer to add a black roof to my order for a triple yellow mustang. They had one in yesterday and I think it definitely adds that little bit extra. Have requested the change under condition it does not change delivery date.

Also going to be ordering a new trunk lid to get rid of the giant GT roundal.

Good choice with new trunk lid, I think the UK one just looks very Halfords stuck on tat, I went with the silver Pony, which is actually Ecoboost trunk lid, but hey I don't care.

I hope with it being a yellow car you did not go custom pack as you need the black wheels.

On Competition Orange and Triple Yellow, Black roof, black wheels and some subtle black side decals looks absolutely awesome:

I think that would look awesome, but I probably would not do black centre stripes as that might be a bit OTT, but who knows if you did you then might as well also go with GT350R black spoiler and a larger front black splitter. It would look pretty damn epic and very loud. :D :D :D
 
I looked at the Pony lid but having seen you bought one 2 or 3 pages back I thought I would go with the GT logo. I also like it saying GT on the back.

Side decals look interesting. Hadn't considered them. I won't be going with the centre stripe as I think with the roof it will be too much. I may have gone stripe instead of roof but the roof was just too tempting.

You are correct too with it being Yellow I have skipped the custom pack so its yellow, black, black and more black.

I am considering an exhaust change for next year too and will either cheap out and do Roush axel backs or if I can stretch the money will be going for Corsa Sports or Extremes. Currently favouring the Extremes but think they may be too loud for my little town lol.

I think black roof, black wheels and the black decals I posted would look awesome whilst remaining subtle if there was such a word.

I have the black side decals for mine, but will be very subtle being black on grey.

I also have the Corsa Sports so you should buy the Extremes as then we can compare the setups. :D :D :D
 
Saw a nice red one going down the M4 tonight, followed for a bit to try and get a good look but it was dark, still it seemed nice on the road, didn't stand out as much as I thought it might, as in, it didn't seem overly big and American as American cars used to look when I was younger (my Aunty used to buy Cameros/trans am etc) , just another sporty Coupe, clearly showing how much UK cars have grown in that it just fits in :)

Initially I thought it might be a Fiat Coupe when looking from the rear view with it coming up behind due to the little sidelights as I couldn't make out shape in low light.

Email back from dealer. My order has been committed to the factory so can't add the black roof despite them saying it could be on Tuesday. Apparently it changed in the days since and despite me emailing them Wednesday and then taking til today to add it. I'll just get the roof wrapped when it gets here or go stripes.

Have asked for screenshot of order screen with dates etc. Hoping now it's confirmed to factory build will start in Jan rather than Feb!

Not the case when driving... Everyone looks :D

Had a blast in the V8... I agree with the other poster above. There is NO power in 6th gear but, as it only sits at 4000RPM in 4th @ 80MPH, there is tons there :D

Also quite easy to get the tail out :o


The Ecoboost sounds like a normal 2.0 litre engine :(
 
Saw a couple of Mustangs in Eastleigh today while looking at the Focus RS.

Looks like a great car but I just wasn't excited by it and there was much more interest in the Focus.

I am so pleased with my decision to get magnetic and the silver wheels, it looks superb, still unsure whether or not I should have gone black roof though, too late now though as my car is built and at the docks or on a vessel. :)

Might just be rubbish photos in the 2nd ad but the car doesn't look as nice in red.

No I agree.

Race red I feel can at times look pink or faded even when not, now on the other hand Ruby red looks fantastic but then you have to put up with comments such as old man red or poo brown from jealous folk. :D

Competition orange is another marmite colour, because it can look fantastic but from certain angles it just looks red.

Colours for me so far I most like of Magnetic (dark grey) and Deep Impact Blue are really good colours, black of course looks amazing, WHEN CLEAN. :D
 
Loving the black pony. I'll be doing the same with mine but I'll probably just remove and plastidip the existing ones as I prefer the matte look and spending near enough £150 to change a pony, a GT and 2 5.0 badges to black seems a bit of a waste when I can do it myself.

I've also decided I'll most likely be going the hood spear route in gloss black to go with a black vinyl roof. The stripes seem a bit much and I think the spears should be enough although maybe just the roof. It is so confusing deciding what to do when the car isn't here yet. Too easy to overthink it! I'll be ordering from Big Worm in the states for spears if I can't find a local shop who do a good price on them when I get the roof done.

I am torn on the side decals. Some days I like them and some days I don't so for now will be leaving them off.
