Ford Mustang to be released in EU

I just had a thought... We will see more and more of these on the roads now, which will make them seem less special. :(

But never mind that, who wants to buy me a red one? :D

They will be rare on UK roads for years to come, right now I think there is less than 100 in the UK, by end of next year there will be around a maximum of 2000, so seeing one will be rare indeed unless it lives in your neck of the woods.

For me I see M3's everyday, but I rarely ever see a 911 unless going somewhere like London. 911's sold in huge volumes but they tend to either be locked away or converging only in major cities/rich areas.

So I think the Mustang will remain a rare sighting on UK roads for sometime, the guys who have got them now are all talking about the positive attention they get. :)

For me, it'd be between Magnetic and Ruby Red. As you say, under grey skies, Magnetic still looks good whereas Ruby Red only really stands out in sunshine which we don't get enough of here.

Yep and other advantage of magnetic it works amazingly well with any colour of wheel. Silver or Black look superb on it.

Orange and yellow look look out of place with silver wheels and chrome trim, looks wrong. Orange can look red from certain angles which for me is a negative and the yellow looks dull in anything but bright sunlight.

Reds do look good with both coloured wheels and black cars are OK but have a real aggressive mean to them when they are completely black everything.

Ruby red is very nice, but it seems my colleagues find this stunning colour associated with either poo or old people, the word poo brown was a frequent name for the colour of my EVO X, which was close to Ruby red. ;)

Magnetic, hands down for me, especially in UK, plus to clean it I can get away with just cleaning my wheels. :D

I get your point. Funnily enough, I see more Aston Martins than I do facelift Corolla T-Sports... In fact I see more Teslas... Ferraris even!

I've only seen one other in the past year. :p

Or in my case along the A43 next to Silverstone Porsche Center

Yeah, they will be much much rarer than 911's! I see 10-20 911's on my 15 mile commute ever day, but the Mustang will always be quite niche

Last of my deliveries from American muscle, great service from those guys:

So whats in this huge box then. :D

Well its a part I purchased simply because it added no more to shipping cost and was on sale, I am still unsure on the part as still not quite sure on the look but after seeing some more pictures it has certainly grown on me. Here a few pictures of it fitted:

Its a Steeda front splitter, slightly more aggressive look and adds downforce. More details and video here:

It is one of those parts I am 50/50 on, won't know until I have actually fitted it to my car and see it in the flesh, at that point I can decide whether it stays or goes. :D

Still un-decided in rear spoiler, was dead set on the 350R spoiler in CF, but after seeing it on an S550 it looked out of place, admittedly the S550 was stock and was not a PP car so looked out of balance. On a PP lowered car it might look OK but shall wait for others first and I'd rather something as critical a rear wing be sourced and done within the UK for fitment quality to be spot on.

Just one more delivery outstanding now, though its a huge one, FRPP handling kit, Steeda G-trac suspension kit and a few other bits. Still not yet shipped from CJ Pony parts, hoping they will ship it over Christmas as ideally want all my parts here before the car arrives. :)

So close, but so far:

At least the Bermuda Triangle did not make the ship disappear. :D

Shame Ford shut down tomorrow until 4th of January, hopefully when they return they will be roaring and excited to work, so fingers crossed for mid January delivery and no horrible snow/freezing weather. :)

Saw tons of these in Vegas, common as Mondeos over there. Quite sad really, we get Mondeos and Astras for our money and the yanks get Challengers, Mustangs, Camaros and other nice metal. Some Mustangs were nuts, the owners must've spent the value of the car at least once on them again, the noise was brutal.

Enjoy it Gibbo, great car.

and next year the Dodge Barracuda too, but if you're after this or a Challenger you'll have to go over there and bring it back, which is a really dumb thing to do, because you wont be able to get it fixed or send it back to a dealer under warranty.

But you can with a Mustang GT!!!! the best looking Mustang to me, is the Graphite grey or similar paint job, black with black wheels

Had a reply from Karen and confirmed my car being built in Feb and they are hoping shipping times next year will be quicker as they get the process sorted.

Was also due to take delivery of my GT decklid today but UPS decided that rather than attempt delivery they would lie and say I wasn't in despite taking a day off and waiting in all day. I even skipped seeing family tonight for an early Christmas dinner to wait for a later delivery but package is marked as failed delivery at 16:45...

I see what paying $90 in shipping gets you from UPS. Same sort of service I would expect from Yodel!

UPS have being good for me, but they got me for tax on every shipment, but far lower than expected so not so bad.

Fedex a little slower but zero taxes. :D

Yodel surprisingly quick and zero taxes. :)

Shipping and tax so far is working close to half what I expected to pay.

Hi there

Finally someone got a car in the exact same specification as mine:

I cannot describe in words how truly excited I am, mine is now sailing up past Portugal towards Belgium with a due date of 27th December. Then it is however long customs take to clear the car in Belgium and then it sails to Southampton and then on the transporter to Bristol Street in Stoke. I've already rang the dealership and requested if I can make early payment the moment I know its heading for Southhampton and that I don't want them to prep the car in any way at all. They have agreed to this so that turn around time can be same day.

Don't think I shall both tinting the rear lights now, the clear lights in my opinion actually look OK on silver/magnetic cars. I will tint the reverse light and side markers however and fit my running pony decklid as the fake plastic filler cap on the rear I just dislike it.

#excited, #can't wait, #is it here yet! :D

Looking good and hopefully they are quick through New Year to get it through Customs etc for an early New Year delivery for you.

I finally received my decklid today so starting a pile of parts in my office that will await the car. It is a long wait to get it for me though.

The clear lights look ok on the magnetic. I think I would still tint them red though. I will be ordering one of the kits for mine in the new year as I know I need to do them when running Trip Yellow paint! Not sure on whether to go Anchor or try the kit from the Netherlands that seems to be looking good.

USA decklid for comparison against the EU one above...
