I'm not sure if you can personally get into legal water going direct, but the company probably has agreements that state they can't hire you without paying the recruitment agency. It's probably not worth the trouble.
True. Just curious

4 jobs in 12 months isn't too much right?
First job was redundancy, second job was personal reasons (loved the job), and reason for leaving this one would be it's a massive step up.
All big big companies as well.
Can't help it I'm a man in demand lol, will see how it goes though. Need to see the offer first...
Hm...I've recently been told about a job, and the agency have given me the company details and everything...Whats stopping me going directly?
Naturally the agency may have already passed your details on....But you know
EDIT: I'm not going to do it, but you do wonder sometimes
Consider it an opportunity. I'm beginning to think I'm the only one in this thread not getting offers...
Why do you jump jobs so often anyway?
Any tips for a friend?
She moved here from Greece, mid 20's done a fair bit of office/admin type work but no UK experience so seems to be getting "dubious looks" as far as agencies go so far.
Re-tweaked the CV a fair bit.
She'd be up for (almost) anything. Shop work, office work, catering, waitressing etc.
Your posts suggested otherwise, my bad.
I've lived on less than that, on average, for the past few years. Seriously though, I'd jump at any decent job offer right now. I tire of temporary contracts and shelf filling...
Delvis doesn't jump ship often. It's just every week he posts in this here thread about how he needs a new/better paying job.
Good luck delvis.
See my post just above yours. Oh, and congrats on the girlfriend, I don't remember you mentioning that. In-laws can be a pain, but it seems yours are very accommodating for a change.
Notice handed in today, I have long chats with both my manager and HR manager and they were both genuinely happy for me but at the same time sad to see me go.
I'll be phoning the new employer in a couple of days and tell them when I'd like to start, I plan on having a week gap to /whatever/ though
That means today/tomorrow!
Fingers crossed eh
You'll be sitting waiting for that phone to ring. Good luck.
The best way to go about this is freak out now and BOSS it up then
