*** Forum Update - Official Issues Thread - Please check the OP for known issues ***

This ‘problem’ being reported with getting links is exactly how the forums have worked for over five years.
It's not what I was reporting FYI, it's just what the person receiving my link became confused by.
The larger issue is the one me and him both mentioned, I'm just going to quote it now to avoid all this ongoing confusion:

Loading the OCUK forum site when coming from Google (or any other third party site, bing/youtube link etc) shows this error if you have an adblocker enabled.
It seems to happen only when you have your Adblocker enabled on the site you're coming from, so if you have your AdBlocker enabled on Google, but Disabled on OCUK it'll continue to happen.

I'm using uBlock Origin (1.42.4) on Chrome (Version 101.0.4951.41).

Also, why isn't isn't it easily possible to add/modify lines in a quote when you're in regular viewing mode, it basically requires you to go in BB code mode - I can't remember if it was like that before.

Not sure if by design or not, or it's not bugged anyone else, but the mobile version is missing the links to the page numbers of individual threads when looking through the forums.

Edit:
- clicking on a thread title should take you to the first post. Both this AND clicking the envelope currently take you to the first unread post. Clicking the thread needs to change to first post.
Both are taking me to the first post.

Also the links to move up forums is only showing the level above on mobile. E.g. if I'm in pc games I can only move to games, then to forums. On desktop I can see both and click forums.

I remember it was at the towards the top of the box as a triangle yeah, iirc, no idea if it worked with it avatars on/off back then or if it was part of the avatar element.

Is this intended? Not a big deal to me personally as I don't use Google to find the forums lol, just thought it was worth mentioning.

I'm running this version of Chrome and uBlock Origin and i'm not able to replicate this. If I search for an OcUK thread on Google and not going to the forums directly via URL it loads for me fine. Perhaps this is an issue at your end? Perhaps caching or DNS?

I’ve been trying with multiple different browsers and different ad blockers and I can’t reproduce it either. Anything I search for where I can find a link to OcUK (it’s easy because we are very well indexed at Google), it always loads perfectly well.

I remember there being some page loading issues back when the forums.overcl... got changed to overcloc.../forums but thats expected, other than that its been fine since.

Not sure if it was done specifically, but the Home button on the bottom right of the page links to the shops main page, some may see this as a button to return to the main forum page, this could be confusing, maybe worth changing or perhaps the wording if you want it to go to the shop page?

Wouldn't be DNS.
I've just tested this again, and I've worked out how to reproduce:

1) Go here https://www.google.com/search?q=overclockers+forum+thread
2) Load a thread
3) Press the back button or go back to https://www.google.com/search?q=overclockers+forum+thread
4) Try click on the same or another Overclockers thread and you'll get the error.

'It seems to happen when you have your Adblocker enabled on the site you're coming from (Google in this case), so even if you have it disabled on OCUK it'll continue to happen.'

Will attach GIF/MP4 if you want:

Not sure what's up here as I have just tried exactly the same thing, even going into a new Icognito tab and it works fine for me. Have you tried removing the uBlock extension and re-add it in again? might be something it doesn't quite like.

It was reproduced by @throwaway4372 aswell:
Reproduction Steps
1. Go to DuckDuckGo https://duckduckgo.com/
2. Search for "windows 11 taskbar never combine"
3. Click the forum result, e.g, https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/windows-11-taskbar-never-combine.18939039/page-2

Expected
- The thread loads.

Actual
- I see a "Page could not be loaded" page, with a refresh button. Clicking the refresh button loads the thread.
