The current envelopes are not great, you can't easily distinguish between read and unread.

I appreciate the effort by all. But seriously, the forums are now harder to use. Watched threads is a complete and utter mess.

With poor eyesight I'm struggling to tell the difference between read and unread posts. Please could they be changed so the read posts are grey or something. Thanks.

I'd still prefer some kind of colour change for unreads or something, it isn't visually distinct enough as it currently stands, too samey.

I don't know the ins and outs of the new forum software but my guess would be that you guys have now lost the ability to make it look and operate exactly as it did previously regarding dots and envelopes (yellow colour & open for read, closed for unread), hence the constant back & forth?
 
Is there the prospect of Watched Threads functioning exactly like it did before? Not a huge issue as we have filters, but it was better previously IMO. Might be an easy adjustment?
 
I'm not colour blind but I'm using the grey theme and this black and white with the dot just doesn't stand out on what thread I have or haven't read.

Also the speakers corner page is not updating to the latest unread post. It keeps dragging me back about 30 posts ago. Doing my head in.

The only bug so far I've found is when using an smiley, it puts the cursor before the smiley, so its difficult to carry on typing after it.

It would never look exactly like the previous version, but we're looking at all options at the moment.
 
Can't see this on the first page list, but if you have the avatars turned off, there is no visual indicator of a person being online.

Unless I've missed something.

Yes because the last time they did this once again mobile was a complete disaster. They got there eventually but it was completely unusable just like this update anyone who first used the last update on mobile will have remembered. You would have thought they'd have learnt from last time and that's why it's disappointing.

Which returnee are you?

Edit, I see it is back to being a black dot now, this is better. Just need the yellow back now.

It's fine on my mobile for the most part, certainly not unusable at all. I suspect it's media queries causing problems. ie, weirdness happening at certain aspect ratios.
