Forza 2: No AA in final version

I think the car models and lighting in GT:HD is better, but thats it.

GT's cars look friggin great in the replay mode, the way they move and even with the driver is very well done. Dont tell anyone that even in 1080i they dont have AA and are full of jaggies though because then you have to say the graphics are sub standard!

Personally i dont care FM2 Vs GTHD or GT5 i will have both and like both for their own reasons.

I thought that's what the general consensus was, yes... which for a virtual tech demo on a new platform, versus a full retail game on an 18 month old platform, is quite a damning indictment.

Yeah youd be a good judge having both systems right?

So you expect them to use a console to it's fullest on their first attempt?
Look are early PS2 games and compare them to games out in the last year, like God of War 2. Every sequel tends to improve on the previous title.

Excuses again. GT 3 came out early in the PS2's life yet it was gobsmacking. The replays ran at full speed too, fancy that.

Exactly you should be outraged!! You should be on your moral high horse!! look at the abuse Sony took for lying to you and you didnt even care about the PS3, This is your most anticipated title of like forever, you should be going postal right now!! Oh but it's ok they only had 2 years to develop it!

Personally i think the graphics are very sub par, as for the game, i will wait till i play it, but i dont think i will play it for long, as i will probably banish to to a corner when MS try to rape me for DLC

And to be fair, if this is what GT5 has as its competition, then i dont think Yamauchi San has much to worry about.

Wow, I think it had jaggies and I'm not really sure it's my sort of game but I'll take my hat off to the rest of the graphics and the gameplay looks good.

Not really sure why you feel the need to launch such a fanboy tirade.

Not just subpar graphics but "very subpar", so by that logic PGR3, Motorstorm much be at least 'subpar'. Almost everyone has felt disappointed with the graphics to some extent but this was partly due to the level hype but you're the first person to push it past 'subpar' or 'disapointing' to 'very subpar' or 'mediocre'.

Then you couldn't resist throwing in some DLC statement and how the game is really incomplete.

The next and final statement we have is how 'PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVE GAME X' is going to be soooooo much better.

And all this is wrapped up as a nice 'personal attack' on someone who has been genuinely excitied about this title for a long time.

But they also do in Forza Motorsport 2 and PGR3 has the best I have ever seen. Yet you criticised both of those games for that reason did you not?
I'm not getting at you at all, I'm just confused by your statement.

GT:HD to play is actually not that great if you pay attention to certain things such as low-resolution textures (the same with Motorstorm). They look good until you notice some faults.

There is no denying GT:HD looks stunning on video's etc.. but I felt incredibly underwhelmed in just about every aspect (bar the modelling of the cars) when I played it. It's also the slowest console driving game I have ever played in my life (and I have played most.)

Well said i wish some of you would come to my defense more often, its personally offending the abuse you take on these forums if your excited about a game and highly anticipate it.

I love racing games and i will be just as hyped for GT5.

Wasn't a fnanboy attack, it was a comment to Mr Latte as he gave no quarter regarding the PS3, yet is giving this loads of room. All he has been spouting is the crap about how this is going to be mindblowing to the point he had two threads going about it, all of which he shot people down left right and center, now he shrugs it off.
I never once said the graphics where sub par or very sub par or anything like that, i said it is shocking that their is no AA, and tbh it is shocking. I want my next gen ffs. Excuse the crap out of me if i want my monies worth from a game

The graphics are OK, but this is just a demo, as someone else pointed out, it is Very like Moto GP

MS are going to charge OTT for DLC it is just a point of fact.

As for the final statement, well it is true, If This is all we can expect the GT5 wont be worried, i just hope GT5 gets a decent online system running.

No not me mate i a very big fan of PGR3 and remember i am Mr Foza 2 or the games main cheerleader, (gits). I agree with you on many of the points you mention.

You will see me criticise the game when i get to play it properly and its released, i just dont critices it through itse entire development and every screenshot posted. Besides someting like graphics to one person is pap and to the other is pretty good, either way if the game plays well i will play it plenty.

Yeah im looking forward to GT5 too but whens that coming, oh wait is their even a screenshot of it yet. Last i heard we wont know much about the title untill the Tokoyo Car show.

But at the same time, i genuinly thought you would be annoyed about the no AA, sure i might have went a bit OTT with the moraly thing, but you must admit, you went OTT with how Sony lied to you constantly?

I am reserving judgement on the final game until i get it in June, and at which point i look forward to many ocuk race nights tbh, because that is probably what could make or break this game, at least for me

I was the first to say I thought the graphics were a let down but the tripe I'm having to endure today is remarkable.

I was going to say it might not be the best looking racing game ever released but actually it probably is. There's some demos and promises and that tech demo of the single model car running without physics on a 2d background but that's it.

You want more? Sure we all want more, you're not in an exclusive club you know. But to start comparing it to PS2 launch games is a joke.

Now your new contention that everyone that thinks it's actually ok is a deluded idiot that's easily satisfied is taking the biscuit.

What exactly is your point? I genuinely have no idea any more.

You see thats your entire grudge with me that i gave the PS3 a hard time, you cant get over your system love.

Guess what Sony still have made a mess of its release. I always put my opinion forward that the price and release titles was a major factor, OMG i was right, i said they would be lucky to do 3 million sales by March instead of their reported 6 million, want to check those figures for me.

I have my opinions but i dont have a fanboy attitude thats why even with all the dissapointment or issues i had with how Sony was marketing their PS3 i still bought one, why because im a gamer i love games. Some of you early adopeters that imported etc made the machine out to be something amazing, i questioned that too and i still in many ways think Sony have a lot of work to do.

Sony lies or overhyped on so many issues. AA is a very mild issue and even as mentioned in this thread the game does use 4x AA so as even advertised its not technically incorrect or advertised unfairly.

Someday you might get over the whole issue, stains usually wash out eh.

Sorry...aren't you the one who always said "oh why don't dev's put FPS before graphics quality"

Er duh...so you have to reduce it. Surely you know this? Wouldn't this make your argument void as now it seems to be

"Oh they're at 60fps...oh they must be crap dev's if they can't get 60fps AND etc etc"

Forza 2 does look good and I WOULD like AA, but if they want 60fps and can't get it with 4*AA then fine.

By your view those Nasa boffins are lazy because they can't crack super high speed travel to get us to different planets in highly reduced times.

Somethings just can't happen, maybe this is one of them.

When did I say they were deluded idiots? Please don't put words in my mouth :)

Some of the problems with the graphics are down to colour palette or lighting. These are art failings, nothing to do with console horsepower.
