Has Free Delivery for loyal members been deliberately down-graded from DPD Next Day Delivery to 2nd Class Royal Mail?

It's at OcUK's discretion what they use. Obviously they're not going to use DPD for a 20p cable, and obviously not Royal Mail 2nd class for a £2,000 system.

If you have an order of sufficient value, it should be DPD. Mine was last week.

A lot seems to depend on the physical size of the item (or items) ordered also.

For example something like a case might be sent by DPD, whereas a smaller but more expensive item, which would fit into a jiffy bag, would be sent by Royal Mail.

If I am wrong here though, I am sure I will soon be corrected! ;)

I've just noticed this too, I'm buying a mouse mat for £16.80 and the usual DPD has gone. It now just allows me to choose royal mail 2nd class.

And I've used overclockers for the past 15 years or something to buy PC parts and spend a lot of money on this website so would have been nice to have not taken this away from loyal customers...:confused:

Free DPD was never an option for under about £40, check your orders from the first half of this year.

Yes it was first class before, but at least it's still royal mail and not DX Secure ;)

Hi, just went to order and noticed my forum account isn't linked and i'm having trouble getting it to link, is there still any issues or is it just me being a tool?

get the message below when i try to link

DX Secure is possibly the most frustrating courier I've ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. I also used to deal with DX as a customer for their legal post service - equally as frustrating and awful customer service, always losing items!

Some older members may remember we trialed it with the free forum shipping many years ago - was not popular.

Black Friday deals do qualify. :)

Contact via forum customer service or phone if you are having issues with the free shipping. - You can order via phone if you want to order quickly and not miss a deal! :)

Is it confirmed that now sometimes the only free option will be Royal Mail 2nd class? I've just ordered some speakers and that was the only free one for me, my user account shows I have linked my forum account and that I qualify for free delivery.

Do some orders still get charged delivery or is it an insurance thing?

Ordered my gfx cards and monitor stand and got charged 60p (ok only a trival amount) but if i had added my screens it put it up to £16 :o

and yes free shipping was ticked.

Despite Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the OcUK despatchers still managed to include a pack of Haribos with my new Asus GTX 970 GPU... sent free of charge by DPD of course!

Well done chaps! :)

Lets hope the orders I receive tomorrow will be similarly enhanced! ;)

Could someone please explain how you build up your posts count?
I have been a member since Oct 2002..and although not a prolific poster... I have noticed of late my post count seems to yoyo.. and grow very slowly compared with the number of posts my forum account stats tell me I have made.

Search: Posts Made By: Trying ................ Showing results 1 to 25 of 62

I am just worried I will never reach the number of posts required to receive free delivery at this rate. :(
