Can someone just clarify- I made my order and chose DPD next day (my account is linked and all that) but the final amount still included the shipping cost. I take it the amount is adjusted before it is charged to my card rather than adjusted on the screen then?

No, the DPD next day usually comes up as costing 0.

I wonder if someone could try something out for me- try adding this to your basket: Samsung SE-S084CTSLS 8x Slimline External DVD±RW - Blue. Does it give you the option for free shipping? Every other item I have tried comes up with the free DPD option except this drive, is it just my account being screwy?

Edit: Surely you'd expect the free shipping to be cost-effective? Sending out a single external drive by next day courier doesn't smack of good business sense.

I'm sure it is cost effective with whatever deal they have in place- it didn't stop them sending me a single laptop HDD by courier last week.

If you see the first post of this thread Spie states forum members get DPD Next Day shipping free and does not make any restriction on items that qualify.

There is a restriction and that is the weight of the product, anything over 2kg gets the dpd service.

Well that is what the Overclockers Delivery Choices page is showing anyway....
