That's why then, if it is a small and low value item it will go with Royal Mail. It will use the cheapest delivery option possible. As we cannot afford to be sending out small items on a courier service. Otherwise we would have people ordering a £2 cable on a free £8 delivery service. :)

Add something else to the basket and it should change to DPD.

ive orderd now mate. the last time i used royal mail it went missing and took 3 weeks to sort out. i here what you are saying about the value of the order, but i would have thaught a £60 mouse would qualify.

If I add the SS Sensai mouse to my basket I get the option of free DPD delivery so your post above doesn't answer why the other guy only gets the option of free Royal Mail delivery.

Could count for location too then. It will basically pick the cheapest delivery option it can when ordering, so if ordering smallish items it may go via Royal Mail.

Not at all, those that are not part of the mainland cost more to deliver to due to being overseas. Uses more staff, power, and resources.

The further you ship out, and the less remote to get to the more it will be. Just the way it is as it is further away, and more difficult to get to.

Unless you use the postage service in which case it is exactly the same cost.

Still awaiting a refund on my last order which was next day delivery and took a week to dispatch and arrive, I assume my letter went missing, so I'll write another one.

That is why Royal Mail works, but DPD does not as it is a courier.

And you say you wrote a letter? Feel free to use the customer service forum, it is a lot quicker and I am likely to be able to sort it out instantly for you tomorrow morning. :)

Since I crossed the threshold for free shipping a while back I've been buying from OcUK much more frequently rather than waiting to bunch everything up for months and then shelling out big time, many more impulse buys than before ; )

You have only just got to 100 posts, you will have to wait a bit I believe as it takes time to kick in. You need to link your account, have you done that? - It is in the original post.

I'm not sure about this free delivery lark. To me it seems like an excuse for OcUK to take their time on my order.

Ordered a headset on Sunday, only just printed in warehouse! Has happened a few times now. Don't get me wrong, it is nice not to pay for delivery, but I feel it's worth the extra few quid to get it on time.

Free delivery or not, it is still the same delivery service? Sounds like you have been unlucky and the order has not been dispatched on time.
