That's exactly what I would have said 10 years ago jonney. Based on what I have seen it maybe take another 10 years until its out
If you pay him lots of money it'll help it to come out sooner as well.
That actually seems to be having the opposite impact. It seems like more money they have the bigger scope gets and more they drag their feet.
If it was around 2000-2003, then that was Freelancer.I remember years ago either PC Gamer or PC Zone did a double page spread on Chris Roberts failure on whatever project he was working on then.

Eventually Microsoft ousted him, just so they'd get something that was finished enough to release... which it did 3 years late and with numerous features missing.
Wow, I didn't expect to open this forum and see a thread for Freelancer on the first page. What a throwback. I loved this game and I'm still waiting for something that hits the same spot. So many space games manage to make freelancing so boring.
I see this is downloadable as Abandonware.
Will have to give it a go.
