Rubbish track. Rubbish race. Yes it was tense at the front but the wheel to wheel action was lacking and I dislike the stupidly high deg these days in F1. It makes it become more of a lottery and pit battle.

Isn’t that every F1 race in the last few years? Unless there are crashes or rain, then these cars aren’t exactly racing kings.
 
Impressive recovery from McLaren. Definitely best of the rest and deserved. Plenty of action on track from those two. Russell well up above faster cars yet again, just needs a nudge up to those points for Williams. It will happen this year I'm sure of it.

Also glad Hamilton has lost another race and Merc look stupid for a change. Nice to see the end to the dominance, think it's safe to say both teams will be trading blows till the end of the season.

Also interesting how, to Lewis they say "this one is one us". When Bottas says something their response is basically 'get your head down and get on with it'

They are stuck in the protection Lewis stage..problem is it unravels pretty quickly when he's not actually winning or the car is not performing.

The merc malding over the season is going to be glorious. If this continues I fully expect Bottas to go nuclear by season end.
 
One of the more entertaining F1 races, Verstappens outlap must've been amazing to take 3 seconds from Hamilton, then taking the gamble to pit before the mercs for a big 3rd stint with used mediums. If they hadn't gone for it early i think Mercedes would have done it a lap or 2 later with little to lose, as they'd have easily catched Perez.

I think that was Mercs plan as I think I heard Lewis mention the undercut at the 2nd stops but Red Bull beat them to it as well. So the only option left was to go to the end and hope for a miracle :D.
 
Season will be over very quickly if redbulls can keep putting it on pole.
People think it's gonna be a close season but it really isn't the quali gap is too big now and Hamilton can't be expected to keep performing miracles on a Sunday.
 
I'm worried now. I know Verstappen's lead is only 11 or 12 points but I really want Lewis to break the record of all records and get that 8th championship. I fear he might never if it doesn't happen this year.
