Russell was saying they were wheel to wheel going into the corner so he had the right to go for it, thing is he was nowhere near wheel to wheel at any point of the corner.

He said he had his front wheel alongside Perez’s rear wheel and that meant it was fair game according to the rules. I’m sure he knows them, out of all the drivers.

Especially as the Red Bull guy was stating that it was stuck open throttle that took out Leclerk. Not sure why the commentators didn't correct his mistake(?) or why they muted abruptly (assume swearing as on delay).

That was my assumption after his interview. He was incredibly candid about his error.

Edit: It's a 2 for me. Some stuff happened but I think this track is God awful, and the racing wasn't there.

Ferrari just don’t want points do they? Absolutely brainless strategy team every weekend.

Still, happy it was a great result for Mercedes. Hungary might be a potential win for them without having to deal with high speeds.

It’s been a chasening season for Merc but the cars reliability is bulletproof, they’ve nearly always been there to pick up the pieces when the big 2 slip up.
