It’s been a chasening season for Merc but the cars reliability is bulletproof, they’ve nearly always been there to pick up the pieces when the big 2 slip up.
Certainly interesting to see that the minimal sidepod design isn't causing any heat issues for them. But yeah, it's been solid as hell.

63 point gap and Ferrari being Ferrari doesn't bode well for the championship contenders in red...

We still have to see how this illegal/not illegal/dodgy/not dodgy floor business pans out. i.e. Does it nerf the RB and the Ferrari and help Merc or make no difference and Merc have to spend budget to copy what they are doing?!

Just caught up. Was that move russell made not a verstappen special from last year? They are now not allowed?

From what I understand, they have "clarified" and tweaked the rules from last season and the tweaks read as basically "you know what Max kept doing last season, don't do that".

I like Russell but that was not a move that was there to be made. There were two choices for Perez, miss the corner completely or crash. I don't think he could even have backed out without the speed differential causing their wheels to collide.

I think the only reason Russell wasn't punished was because he didn't cause a crash and no positions changed hands. Got the impression Toto was going to have a word with him after the race as well. Over the knee you go Russell.

Average race entertainment wise I guess.

Pleased for Mercedes. Hamilton had great start and did everything right. Good race.

I thought Russell's move on Perez was rather ambitious. Probably should have got a penalty.

What was up with Perez? Far too slow compared to Max. The gulf in talent was showing there. The Red Bull is clearly faster, so he was shown up by the Merc drivers there.

Easy street for Max now. Leclerc can't keep making silly mistakes like that.

Hamilton really starting to pull away from Russell recently in race pace, those posts claiming it was time to retire are aging like milk.

If anyone paid attention, they would have known Lewis was doing all the experimenting in terms of parts and set ups etc.

I think Lewis's haters just took that brief opportunity to get some snipes in at him.

Was Leclerc crash his error, worn tyres, or stuck throttle again as radio maybe eluded to?
Gotta laugh at Russell mugging Perez after VSC
Highlights didn’t show why there was said VSC

Definitely had worse French Grand Prix

The impression I got from him on the radio was that the throttle was stuck but he was very adamant when he was interviewed that he'd made a mistake.

It's nothing to do with Ferrari drivers not being allowed to criticise the team, no sir.

Seems like this isn't the year for Leclerc. Hopefully he can take it as a year of good experience and learn from it for a better fight next year. Although I do hope he can keep in the run this year, don't want to see Max run away with it without a battle.

We have had power cuts all day long and it buggered up the Humax recording -only got first 3 laps and last lap - Did I miss a good race.

No :D You saw the important parts. Watch the highlights on YouTube and you’ll be covered.
